The dvd box set was in perfect condition. I’ve watched all the discs and everything was perfect.

This is simply one of the most charming sitcoms I've ever come across. Some of the one-liners are just laugh out loud funny. Most you just give a chuckle to. But a good chuckle might I add. The atmosphere to the sets used is immersive. They are not mega-fancy. But they do the job of making you believe in the world on display. This helps make the show shine a little more.The girls are perfect as a team. They work well off of each other. I had a crush on Blanche when I was younger. I still do now I can watch all of the show this time round. I can still see the appeal I saw in Blanche all those years ago. I wouldn't choose Blanche over the other three though. The show has a perfect cast. I think this is one of the main reasons for it's popularity.Sitcoms like this are timeless. I mean the comedy and the makes you feel happy feeling just never get old. I am constantly building my sitcom collection of shows I watched growing up. And shows today. But there is not enough sitcoms today like there used to be. This is a shame. We need more quality shows like The Golden Girls on TV. Shows that when watching them make you forget the world outside for a while. Shows that make you feel happy when listening to the audience laughter at the wise cracks being fired off. It's all morale boosting for me. The audience laughter doesn't tell me when to laugh. It just makes the show feel like a happier world being displayed.The title on the boxed set both on the outer box and on the cases is in English (The Golden Girls). The text on the back is in German as is a tiny piece of text on the bottom of the front covers. None of this is a problem. When you put disc one of season one on for instance. The entire menu is in English. Even if it wasn't it would be a simple setup. Top option = play all. Middle option = episode select. Bottom option = Audio setup to change languages for viewing.I have Married With Children (French Import). The Cosby Show (Dutch Import). Misfits of Science (German Import). The Golden Girls (German Import). All complete shows. I have movies from Sweden, Czech Republic, Germany and more. You buy imports then the covers back and front are in the language of the country it comes from. Check the product details section of each title before purchasing. To see if it has English audio. Doesn't matter about subs in foreign languages. They can be turned off.There is no worry when purchasing this. It all plays in English fine. Menus are easy to navigate. I am so glad I got this boxed set. Now I can see the show in it's entirety. I missed some of the episodes on the shows initial airing. Time might have taken three of the ladies from us (as of typing this). Only Rose is left. They will all be remembered. Immortalized through this show.To all the fans still here. Wow what can I say about this box set. I would give it ten stars if I could!! I originally watched this Gorgeous ladies when they first hit our tv screens back in the 80's. There will and will never be a more delightful, full of laughter sitcom like this. Susan Harris the writer did an awesome job. These ladies will have you laughing and crying with laughter. No one will ever come close to these 4 lovely ladies. I originally bought this box set in 2010 but had to buy another box set as I watch them everyday as soon as I wake up I have them on either in the background whilst doing household chores or having my dinner or tea. After keep watching these dads they packed up that's how much I watch them. Never been bored of repeating them over and over. These are a really good price as well! IF YOU WANT TO WATCH AN OSCAR WINNING SITCOM, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ANYTHING ELSE, GET THESE!!! 😂🤣😃😅😁😊😆😉😙😄🤠😀😁🤣

Bought as a present - she loved it the first time around, and now she can see it all again and still loves it. Despite it being in 'German' packaged (writing on the box), the spoken language is available in both German and English so there's no worries there. There are a few extra's on the DVD's but you have to take pot look at what they are as the written language on the DVD box set it in German and as the gift receiver and I don't understand it we just had to watch to see what it was and make a note inside the box-set to remind us.You can get an 'English' version box-set, but they only go up to series 5 for some unknow reason? Get this one and you'll have every single episode then!

Really happy to own the full seven series of this amazing show. I had the first four in a boxset but for some reason it is impossible to find the entire set online so I opted for this german boxset because obviously it has all the seasons and the reviews were good. I'm glad to say I agree with them. Although the packaging is entirely in German, the dvds run fine. When you put on a disk the option for deutsch or English comes up, so you just select English and you're on your way. They come in a tidy box too so it keeps all cases together.

The humor in this series is priceless and the writer Susan Harris (SOAP), with the 4 women works flawlessly. For anyone who hasn't seen it before, we have a a 50+ slutty southern belle called Blanche, a dumb woman called Rose whose not the brightest bulb in the box, Dorothy whose is the straight one and her mother who calls it as it is in dare I say it "Trump" fashion. Its NOT vicious humor like much of today's stuff but soft innuendo that can bring tears to your eyes laughing that encompasses sex, age, views, ex spouses, kids and grand kids. The closest UK alternatives could be Waiting for God or One Foot in the Grave but none of these are copies of each other but all stand alone on their own.

....i have laughed, spat tea out, got yelled at to 'laugh quieter for godsake' , this has been on my dvd since i bought it....i have also had tears streaming down my face..... this box set ( and believe me i have quite a few) is TOTALLY brilliant.....on parr with 'Frasier' . Last night i got to the finale..... i bawled my bloody eyes out!! Sheer brilliance....xx

Das kann manchmal etwas nervig sein, aber es ist ein kleines Opfer, das man bereit ist zu bringen, um diese großartige Serie zu sehen.Alles in allem würde ich die Golden Girls - Staffel 1-7/Komplettbox definitiv nochmals kaufen. Die Serie ist zeitlos und unterhaltsam, und die DVD-Box ermöglicht es, die Abenteuer der Golden Girls immer wieder zu erleben. Es ist eine Sitcom mit Tiefgang, die uns daran erinnert, dass wir im Alter nicht allein sein müssen und dass Freundschaft und Humor uns durch jede Herausforderung bringen können.

I started watching the golden girls and I immediately wanted to share this show with my mom and boy we’ll have fun now!It should be noted that only seasons 1-3 have various subtitles while seasons 4-7 only have English and GermanThe series arrived super quick while paying express shipping.I strongly recommend this buyer!

I love these movies. 3 movies were out of the case 2 in the same one and 1 in a different one. A piece was broke on one that holds the movie in it's place. Only one looks scratched. Probably happened in the mail. I don't know if it will skip yet or not, but hopefully not. The reason for all stars is because that could happen if you buy it from the store. DVD's are hard to keep in good condition. I can't wait to start watching these! Thanks!!

In Italia sono state pubblicate solo le prime tre stagioni, mentre questa versione tedesca fornisce la serie completa, 7 stagioni, una per cofanetto, contenute in una robusta confezione in cartoncino.Entrambe le versioni delle prime tre stagioni sono praticamente identiche, con 5 lingue disponibili: Italiano, Inglese, Tedesco, Francese e Spagnolo con relativi sottotitoli, nei quali si aggiungono le versioni anche in Svedese, Norvegese, Danese, Finlandese, Olandese ed Inglese per non udenti.Dalla quarta stagione in poi rimangono solo la lingua tedesca ed inglese con relativi sottotitoli (in inglese anche la versione per non udenti): tutto il resto scompare.Le custodie della versione tedesca sono trasparenti (nere in quella italiana), e mostrano il retro della copertina sulla quale vengono elencati da un lato i titoli degli episodi e dall'altro quattro foto tratte dagli episodi; in quella italiana all'interno c'è un foglietto bifronte con i titoli e la foto di copertina. Visivamente, la versione tedesca è più piacevole.Come per altre serie televisive (vedi Strega per amore, La donna bionica, L'uomo da sei milioni di dollari ) non vengono purtroppo realizzate versioni italiane in dvd di tutte le puntate trasmesse, probabilmente perchè i cofanetti pubblicati inizialmente (di solito due) non hanno riscosso successo. Per fortuna a volte si può acquistare una versione inglese che comprende anche la lingua italiana e relativi sottotitoli (vedi Ugly Betty, per la quale inizialmente non tutte le stagioni erano a disposizione), ma spesso ciò non è possibile, come per Cuori senza età.Peccato, ma l'articolo è ottimo.
