desertcart.com: Middle Class Life During The Great Depression: 9781419630323: Labutta, Mary Ann: Books Review: Fun Trip Down Memory Lane for Old-Timers - This is a short collection of memories of growing up during the Great Depression. Unfortunately, I remember a lot of the things she mentions. Review: Just like your Grandma's stories - This book is very short and full of interesting information about the life of people during the Great Depression. It is very first hand, kind of like talking to your Grandma. It's not anything that gives you great details about why the Great Depression happened but rather little details and facts about how people survived those tough times. It gives details about homes, entertainment, work, etc., during the Great Depression. For example, I never thought about it but most people didn't even have utility bills at that time since most people didn't have electricity, running water or natural gas but used kerosene laterns, outhouses and well water and worked very hard to just stay alive. Quick read but interesting.

Depression
For the price I expected more of a book...this was just a pamphlet really, However it was interesting, written by a lady who lived through the Depression and gave a good view of day to day life.
