Excellent tool to see quality of wires and power supply. It is a must for anyone who wants to learn about amount of current or power being transferred to battery. It resolves a lot of issues with low quality USB cables. I highly recommend getting this. It is way more than just a light indicating churching. Only problem that some people might have with this is the size of letters. It is seriously small.

Good tester but it is fragile at the connector and the solder points at the USB c connector does fail if you use it as a connector and have it attached to your phone cord or any other cord that experiences movement... So be careful because mine snapped, needs better durability for such a expensive piece of hardware

This thing is really great for quickly checking the properties of a USB cable. You can read the e-markers - which is amazing - but also see the voltage, amperage and current draw. It doesn't need batteries and relies on the cable itself for power. I have another cable tester which uses LED lights which is harder to use but the other tester matches this one which shows that this one is accurate and the power output matches similar values measured from my laptop. When I first received it, it was set to use Chinese for the language, but it was relatively easy to go into the settings and change the language and functionally it is easy and straightforward to use with the menu, select/back and movement buttons. There is the ability as well to generate and produce ripple graphs to show the frequency response of the cable. This cable tester and power meter is a lot less expensive than other options that offer less functionality and are harder to use so I think it's great value for money. I am sort of amazed at how much this can do given the relatively low price of it.

Amazing bit of kit. I love being able to test cables for e-markers. The standalone "sink" functionality to test for the various supported protocols on the power supply it is plugged into is also amazing. The ripple measurements with an oscilloscope-like readout is just icing on the cake. I have several top of the line cable testers from when type c pd just came out, but this one just takes the cake. The auto-rotate for the screen is really quick and convenient as well. Everything I have used it with so far maxed out at 20v, so I cannot comment on the ability for it to support more, but the accuracy of the voltage and amperage ranges are acceptable enough. Volts was about 2% off from what my fluke said, and amps was about 5% off (usually measuring high) but for something like this, you're more just wanting to see what it is doing in the first place. Being able to see not only what voltage is present, but also the protocol and the requested voltage all on one screen is amazing. I would not hesitate to buy this again. If you use it every day all day, there are probably sturdier options, but for personal use this is perfect. Especially at this price point.

Awesome little tool. I got this to check my labels e-markers and to check when current is flowing thru a type c cable like my outside cameras solar panel. Seems well made with decent size screen and provides alot of info and options.

4 or 5 stars, your choice. Your best way to figure out how to operate it is from the information and pictures in the product listing. There is no manual so look at the listing. Yes, obviously you just plug it in and it shows the power parameters; push the buttons and the display changes. It has a lot more capability than you may realize. Even just a link or QR tag pointing to an online manual would be great. I can’t believe it took me this long to get one of these ! I used to use a couple of home made connectors to wire into some basic bench meters. You would need an oscilloscope to get some of this data.
