American Dulcimer Hammers, Leather, Pair

These hammers seem to be well built and sturdy. The leather strips are firm in place, and at least for now seem to stay well bonded to the wood. I have not had them very long, though. These hammers produce a very mellow sound when stuck against the dulcimer. The sound is somewhat quieter than plain hammers (That's kind of common sense), and they do not produce the distinct 'ting' that plain hammers do. If a mellow, quieter sound is what you are looking for, then you will probably be pleased with these hammers.

I was cautiously optimistic when I purchased this. Upon delivery, all I could do was smile. I will buy a few more sets. Great feel, excellent balance, beautiful sound.

As a newbie in the HD world they work very well for my first hammers. Plus they look good too!
