I love these hats! For about two months there was a nest of broad-wing hawks next to our house. The hawk parents dive-bombed people in their heads. It really hurt to get hit! The state game office suggested we use umbrellas outside. It was the only thing that worked. (For what it's worth, helmets did nothing. The hawk seriously injured someone with a helmet by scratching their face.) The only problem with carrying an umbrella is that you have only one hand to use (for gardening, carrying groceries, walking a dog, etc.). Our poster delivery person wore a hat like this and suggested it. I can't believe how well it worked. It also is really good at sun protection.

I understand that the way I'm using these umbrella hats is not the way they were intended to be used, but of the 4 Blink XT2 cameras I have, 2 are protected by porch roofs, and 2 are out in the open. The 2 that are out in the open are subject to rain mucking up the lenses, so I got these little doo-dads to help protect them. They fit perfectly on the thicker part of the vinyl fence posts where the cameras are mounted. They look cool and are functional and cheap. They work best on the camera that's pointed straight ahead. On the one where the camera is almost at a 90 degree angle, I had to improvise a bit to keep the umbrella from getting in the way of the wide angle camera lens. But with a little angling and tweaking I was able to get the protection I wanted with little to no blocking of the lens. I'm very satisfied. And if/when I need to replace them I still have 2 more waiting in the wings.

Opening up the hat wasn't hard at all. The band which fits over your head was comfortable. If your head is large, then you may think it's tight, but I found it nice. It definitely provides shade. The only problem would be on a very windy day. I wanted something to use while gardening and for that purpose, it worked.

May look a bit silly (or at least what I kept telling myself) but I’ve never gotten so many compliments on a hat before in my life! Fellow hikers kept commending my smart thinking going to a rainy day hike in the woods of TN. I also work for events and can’t wait to whip this out during a sunny day. Definitely will be the talk or conversation but it covers my husband and I’s shoulder width span and adjustable when on your head. Very lightweight besides the scrunchie part squeezing your head for dear life.

I got these for a silly hat party. It was raining when I arrived, so I put one on to walk from the car to the festivities. And it actually worked pretty well! Not sure I have the wherewithal to rock these regularly, but it was a nice surprise. They were a big hit at the party, too, and I gave most of them away. I’m keeping mine, though. Just in case.

Amazing for the price. Cheap enough so you can buy one for everyone in your group, whilst accepting some loss in that some strangers will all but beg to give you one. Awesome enough so those who thought themselves too cool to initially wear it would later realize what awesomeness is, and grovel back and ask if there are extras. Note that if you have a large head, or if you head tends to swell after receiving compliments all day long, then the four metal stands in the headband can be felt on the head. But is usually offset as you can wear it over a baseball hat or perhaps the decision to wear this happened while inebriated

On the page it says a pack of four, and I only received one. After not only having the hat on for 1 minute, it already broke (mind you it was me running around my house laughing only). I am extremely disappointed and really think I deserve a refund as well as 3 more hats from the required pack to be delivered. Not to mention, the ONLY one that was shipped to me and defective in the first minute of being opened. Not happy at all.
