Marvel Legends Series 12-inch Spider-Man

Great pric and gift for young child

I almost purchased this figure at full price when it first came out, but resisted and was able to get it on sale through Amazon. I don't know if he's worth the original asking price of $50, but there's no denying he's awesome! We have a pretty large Spider-man collection at our house with figures that are old & new, tiny & up to 36" and with a variety of amounts of articulation. For a long time the 18" movie Spider-man from a few years back was my favorite will all its 67 points of articulation. In the past 2 years, I think we've seen the best 6" figure of the wall-crawler ever (Green Goblin BAF), then a better one (Hobgoblin BAF)...and then an even better one most recently in the Venom BAF wave. But, this one is even more fun! We've had him for a little over a week and every day find new awesome poses (without a stand) to get him in that look like they came straight out of the comic book. If you're a Spidey fan, you won't be disappointed.

I ended up getting this for my girlfriend for her birthday (she's a huge Spider-Man Fan) and I have to say, this is hands down the best Action Figure I've ever worked with in my life. The level of articulation allows for an impressive amount of movements, to the point that she changes his position a little bit every day, and it's always something new. The ability to change both the hands and head also brings it to a new level, as usually it would take two or three action figures to cover all of these poses (assuming you'd even be willing to do that). I'm absolutely blown away by the capabilities of this figure versus anything I had when I was a kid. We're now looking into picking up the Deadpool/Iron-Man/Captain America and Venom ones as well.

I was excited for Hasbro's 12" Marvel Legends figures, but for what they were, I felt like the $50 price tag was just a bit too much. I told myself for $30 I'd pick any one or all of them up. Coincidentally, Spider-Man was the one I wanted most of the three available, and he was the first to go down to $30 here on Amazon. $29.81 to be exact, back in September.For the price I paid, I'm quite pleased with the figure. I really like the Marvel Legends style at the 12" size, Hasbro did a good job here. Good plastic quality and sturdy build. Sculpt and paint apps are good as well. The multiple alternate heads and hands are a definite plus. The only place, in my opinion, where we run into some issues is the articulation.I personally don't have the highest standards for articulation, I don't expect or even always care for every figure to be super articulated, because not every character would need to move or pose dynamically. For an avid collector, you know what to expect from certain lines and their common pros and cons. 6" Marvel Legends figures are almost always super articulated, unfortunately this 12" Marvel Legends Spider-Man is just shy of being super articulated, and for the character who would totally do dynamic poses and movements, it definitely takes away from the figure.He is still very much highly articulated, but lacking two major points, forearm swivel and waist swivel. He's still got tons of articulation with a really good range of motion, but the lack of forearm swivel makes it difficult to properly pose him shooting web from his wrists, and the lack of waist swivel greatly prevents the many kinds of dynamic poses Spider-Man should be able to pull off.Other than the articulation issue, he's mostly a five star figure. If I'd have paid the full $50 retail price on the figure, because of the articulation problems I would have rated him three stars, but because I paid $30, I'm gonna give him four stars. Still a great figure, almost perfect for the price point even, but not quite there. Also still would recommend the figure, and I still plan to collect the rest of the current 12" Marvel Legends and any future releases, but of course I'll wait to pay $30 instead of $50 for them.

Superb action figure. I got a great deal but I think it's worth $35-$40. I would not pay $50, but even if you did, it is magnificent and well done. It's has 6 hands total, and 3 heads.It's a near perfect figure. It is close to a premium figure as you can get without the Ferrari price tag. I HIGHLY recommend this. I wish Hasbro would put their love into their 6-inch line like they did these 12-inch figures.

This figure is awesome. Highly poseable and just a lot of fun overall.The hands swap out easily. The figure sort of pops into each pose and holds it well. I was very impressed with his Spider Man overall. The feet bend also. Very cool.The two additional heads are well done, but I just leave the full mask on it.
