SanDisk 32GB Class 4 Micro SDHC Memory Card for Roku Ultra, Roku 4, Roku 3, Roku 2 Streaming Player Bundle with Everything but Stromboli Card Reader (SDSDQM-032G-B35)

I wrote a very negative review previously because I bought this product to add channels to my Roku. The add said it works with Roku 2 and 3. It does not work in the SD slot for adding channels to Roku but using it in the included caddy, it works very well for streaming media and pictures. If you want the SD card to add channels, this is not the one for you, but for storage and streaming media, it's great!

It arrived in 2 day's, and that was on the weekend. Service was fast and friendly.

My Roku 3 (4200x) immediately recognized the memory and prompted me to format. It's currently using 1.7GB of data.You'll need to unplug your hdmi cable from the Roku to expose the memory card slot.It's important to note that you'll actually insert the card upside down. Meaning, the gold contacts should be facing UP.You may need to restart the device but it should recognize the card right away. It will thrn prompt you to allow Roku to format the card.

Put in formated and no problems

I bought and used this on my ROKU 3. I had purchased another SD card brand that didnt work with the roku, so I was glad this brand did.

When I first inserted this card, I got a message that it failed to mount. I figured that my old Roku 3 was out of memory. To fix the issue, I unplugged the Roku and plugged it in again. That worked and I got the message that the Roku was going to format the card, which is what it is supposed to do. I hope this tip will help anyone else who buys this card and gets the "failed to mount" message.

The Roku does NOT recognize it. I tried several different ways and reviewed several online instruction sites. I saw one site that said that a 'class 10' device is needed and this is only a 'class 4'. That may be the problem.However, it does work well as a 32G thumb drive and so, I may keep it as it is not a bad price for that and includes the chip reader. I should have read more of the reviews. This seems to be a common complaint. It is disappointing that Amazon doesn't change the product title to something other than "SanDisk 32GB Class 4 Micro SDHC Memory Card work with Roku Ultra, Roku 4, Roku 3" since, at least for the 3, this is clearly not the case.

If you are getting this fir a Roku Ultra and the format box closes before you can click on it, insert the card when the unit is on. Weird. but it works.
