Don't watch You tube videos to set it up . They are either specific to the hardware the VFD is controlling or wrong. If you scroll down to the Product guides and documents section of the page where you purchase the VFD there's a video on how to set it up . I followed it and it didn't work. Further up on the page are these settings that are different than the video Drive 400hz spindleSet pd005=400,pd004=400,pd003=400,pd072=400,pd144=3000,pd008=110,Then you can start driving the 400hz spindle.(Note:The VFD is already set to 400Hz by default when it is received, so you can drive the 400Hz motor directly after connecting the wire) These worked for me. It's really easy to set it up incorrectly. That's why my rating is lower than it should be.

Had a few problems with set upYou have to get all the setting just right to get full use of the potentiometerAt first I was getting only half turn of the potentiometer and full speed of the motorBy trying different setting I got almost full turn and full RPMs of the motorI put two of these VFDs on two different machines with 2hp motors and each motor took different sittingsIt is hard to find VFDs with 120 volt inputs at this price rangeI am happy with them I will buy more for other machines that I restore and resellTech support was very good and fast to respond(See pictures) These two burr kings are restored and for sale

The media could not be loaded.  Easy to set up using the manual - Tech support supplied me with YouTube Videos yet there are several on YouTube to help guide those interested in doing the same thing I did. It supplies a smooth operation from the unit to the motor (no high pitch frequency noise) - The only CON I have with the unit is the constant running of the cooling fan. It's not terribly loud but after a while, you would like to have no fan noise. I would certainly buy this brand again and because there have been so many sold in our country, I would like to see the cost of these units drop to around $75.00 versus being over $100.00. It certainly isn't an Allen Bradley where you can connect your computer to it and set up the parameters (super easy!). This unit is a manual hands-on parameter setting and requires the operator's manual.

Works perfectly with my 800w 110v water cooled spindle. This is my second Huanyang VFD, the first one was fried after the spindle got caught on a piece of wood that it was cutting, started spinning the work piece, and drew too much power before I could shut it off. It tripped the breaker and when I turned it back on a large resistor on the PCB started smoking. I'm teaching myself how to use a CNC machine and apparently I still have a lot to learn.I had been using the previous VFD for almost year without issue (although it's failure was almost certainly my fault). This one was it's replacement, both have the same serial number and as far as I can tell all of the electronic components on the PCB's are exactly the same. After wiring it up and programming the parameters, everything worked perfectly again. The seller included some extra instructions and a youtube video which wasn't necessary this time but I wish I would have had them the first time setting up my VFD, previously I spend hours reading on forums how to wire/program it properly.

I really wanted a cheaper alternative to the more expensive units. I purchased the 110v/3hp, running a 3 phase 2.2kw 2.01 hp motor with 110v input from a standard wall plug. I took a chance on this due to some good reviews. I installed the VFD on a small lathe and I have to say that it performs very well. The manual should be rewritten by a technical writer because if someone doesn’t have any experience with VFD’s it could be challenging to setup. In this case it was a fairly simple project and the Huanyang VFD was a great alternative. The one thing that really took me by surprise is the responsiveness of their technical support and shipping time. Tech support answered questions within a few hours and shipping was 5 days! I can’t get service like that from the joint down the road that gouges me every time I walk in the door or call. Since it’s been installed I’ve really run it hard. So far so good! I’m happy all around with this unit and will be buying more.

They work great but I've had to replace as many as I've bought

Very nice VFD controller, the number of parameters available for tuning is impressive and a bit imposing. I particularly enjoy being able to set precise values for maximum voltage and current, as well as the amount of time it will spend increasing the speed until it reaches the target RPM value. The latter means you can drive very heavy motors/devices that would otherwise instantly overload the controller, as well as preventing the motor from accelerating too quickly while adjusting the speed via the front control knob.It would be nice to have a more detailed display since it only shows a single value at one time (Defaults to the RPM), having voltage and current consumption would be very useful.FYI the application I'm using this controller for is to drive a 24V turbomolecular pump. The blade assembly is very heavy and without a very slow acceleration it trips the current limiting, so with the right parameters set it works very well with this controller.

idk what happened with this thing. hooked up and ran fine for about 3 minuets. set it to all seller recommended settings, wired correctly. out of nowhere it sent my x and z axis running for the hills and buried my spindle into the worktable damaging my machine. vfd started pouring smoke from it. i had the same unit for 3 years with no issues until recently. thats why i ordered this one. looking for a brand that isnt so cheap. i hope it did not damage my spindle as well.
