Performs without any problems
I had been struggling snipping my errant nose hairs with a little pair of scissors. Seemed that I was mostly pulling them out more than actually trimming them so I decided to buy one of these. It was the right decision. As everyone else has mentioned, the packaging is the typical clam shell hell. Once you get it out, you pop the battery in, and you're on your way. The bent head of the trimmer lets you get at whatever you need to without having your hand pressed up against your face. The head's angle makes me appreciate the thought that was put into the design of this tool by those responsible for crafting it. Another pair of features that show off their attention to detail is the thickness and texture of the handle which give it about a perfect grip. Even the little cap that protects the blades fits and snaps on flawlessly. These are all little details that tell me the product is well made. Though, the design doesn't matter if it doesn't perform. It comes to life with a subdued, high pitched hum that's a little quieter than my toothbrush. I went to work to trim my nose hair first thing. I was a bit hesitant, but found I could basically slide it around my nostril without so much as a tug. I actually had to check to make sure it was doing its job; a quick glance showed it was. After this boost in my confidence in it, I was feeling adventurous and so slipped on the little eyebrow attachments. I was hoping I wouldn't shave my eyebrows off completely, and fortunately I didn't. I doubt I'll use that feature again as I apparently don't have very bushy eyebrows, but to each their own. I brushed it off and ran it under water and threw it in the drawer. I had no problems whatsoever with the performance of the trimmer, and I don't suspect I will.My one complaint, with the few attachments it comes with for eyebrow trimming and the little brush for cleaning it it would be nice if it had a little case or bag to keep them in. I just threw them in my grooming kit with my nail clippers and such so I hopefully won't lose them.Otherwise, this thing performs perfectly and has finally let me groom my snout with ease.

Very nice trimmer.
This a good trimmer for the money. I wanted to stay away from anything that I had to keep batteries in (note to Philips/Norelco: A rechargeable would be nice), but overall, I'm very pleased. It cuts without pulling or 'snagging', and cuts cleanly. Being able to rinse the head under running water is a definite plus. While it does fine with ear hair, I would only give it a B- for nose hair. I have a manual trimmer that does just as well, but the Philips/Norelco is faster. The only two cons I can think of...it is a little noisy. You'll find this out when you trim around your ears. Having a buzzing cutter close to your ear is no fun, but it's not loud enough to be uncomfortable. Secondly, the two attachments are for trimming eyebrows, but mine have never gotten long enough for either one to be of any use. If you have a long moustache or short-cropped beard, I see no reason why you couldn't use these attachments to trim them. But for me personally, the two little snap-on trimmer guides are useless. In additon to those, you also get a plastic cover to protect the cutting head, and a cleaning brush.

Piece of Junk
First of all, the plastic packaging is one of the most difficult to open I've ever encountered. Basically this is the same trimmer as seen on TV' and sold in drug stores. They work great for me for nose and ear hair and I've accepted the fact they don't last very long and just buy a new one when the current one dies. I thought I'd take a chance and pay a few extra bucks for this one in the hope it would buy me a longer-lasting product. This one only looks solid it's actually plastic and the design is awkward. Those shortcomings could be forgiven if it actually did what the product name promises but the motor is so weak the only thing it trims is your patience and trust in Philips Norelco.

Good for a few months
This trimmer worked great when it was new. However, it only lasted a few months before it started to malfunction. Usually a tap on the side would get it to start but now I have to practically beat it on the side of the counter to get it to start up. After starting, it no longer trims like it did when new. I have owned several different types of trimmers so I know that they all wear out over a year or two and have to be replaced. I just expected this one to work for at least 6 months for the price of this model.

Philips Norelco Trimmer
After using all those cheap trimmers as seen on tv. While they work they are made about as cheaply as can be. They are underpowered and don't last. This one has noticeably a ton more power and is well constructed. Stop buying the cheap POS's and buy this one.Update 9-9-13After using this trimmer for a couple of months I think I will change from 5 stars to 3 stars. While at first this trimmer seemed to work well, after a couple of months it doesn't seem to cut the hairs quickly. I find myself going over and over my eyebrows to get this thing to cut. It finally does but acts like its dull. Same with any other hair. You have to repeatedly go over to get a trim. It still has plenty of power but it does no good if it isn't trimming. Well constructed and lots of power but no cut.
