Rubies Costume Star Wars Clone Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi Light Saber Costume Accessory

After reading all the horrible reviews for this toy, I knew it would be perfect for what I needed it for lol. My now husband & I eloped at a local Arboretum this September. We didn’t want to spend alot of money, so we thrifted & DIYed everything we could. We’re both huge Star Wars nerds, his fav Jedi being Obi-Wan. I knew I wanted to put his hilt in the wedding, and this was the end result. This is a HORRIBLY made toy. When i got it/opened it, I was able to VERY easily “break” the saber part out (i literally pulled it out with very little force). One of the plastic knobs on it also popped off w/very minimal handling. The battery door is also very cheap. Most hilts for bouquets can run up to $100, so i’m very happy with this $20 purchase. It looked great in photos/I plan to put it in a shadow box I am making for us 🖤

I'm very disappointed in this product that did not work immediately out of the package. It is made of a cheap plastic and after taking a long time to figure out how to put the batteries in it, it did not work at all. In trying it a few times, the on/off button broke off in my hand. The item does not telescope well and I imagine that even if it had worked, it would not have lasted long. I would not waste a dime on this product. I hope I can get my money back but I purchased it on Sept 21 for a Christmas gift for my son so now it is over 30 days. I have emailed the company that distributes this toy to see what they can offer, if not, I guess I need to return it to amazon at my own expense. In any case, again, do not waste your money on this cheaply made product.

Excellent and perfect saber for the price! Very cool looking costume prop. I bought this to use with a fan-made Star Wars production and it worked well. It may be a bit larger than the real movie prop, but still looks amazing with the costume. It’s very well constructed. Definitely recommended.

Bought this toy for my grandson. He was very excited about playing with it, but did not get the opportunity to do so -- it was broken. The switch that turns on the light (& its having a light was the reason I purchased it) was not attached, and the light would not turn on. (You could hear pieces rattling around inside). Had to return it for a new one. New one did work, but not sure for how long it will stay working (as the quality - especially of the handle/light switch is not very good). Amazon's return was very smooth - no complaints there.

It broke immediately once I started to play with it but the light saber does have a message on it saying that it was not for play. However, even though it broke, it was an easy fix and it is worth the price.

I purchased this with the intent my daughter would be able to play with her cousins. I looked for anything that would say it was not fit for play "fighting" and could not find it. After it was in transit I finally found where it said, not for fighting. Okay, whatever. My bad. The blade itself doesn't have anything to keep it in so if held upside down, it comes out, not good for a costume unless you want it out the whole time. It did break after a week of her playing with it, but with two screws and some super glue I was able to remedy. The top shaft holding the blade in became loose and then broke off, but was an easy fix. Batteries were killed alot quicker by the lightbulb, which honestly can't tell the difference unless it's fairly dark, than I thought it would be. Lots of little things. I went out and bought her a knew one and probably won't buy from Rubies again.

We had some trouble figuring out the battery for this but after some trial and error we got this light saber to GLOW! This just completes the Star Wars Obi Wan Costume perfectly and my son couldn't have been more pleased! Very bright light and I like that he will "glow" on Halloween night for safety too!

Absolutely love this toy. My son is a huge Star Wars fan and enjoys role playing so this Lightsaber totally fit the bill. Overall quality is exactly as I expected it and so far it has worked great. I would recommend this product.

The blade falls off, but sound effect good.

After 2 minutes the top flew off, put it back on and it keeps coming off , waste of money

Do not bother buying this as the item falls apart within 24 hours. My son was very upset when playing with this as it came apart in his hands in less than 24 hours.

Cheaply made junk, but my six-year old loves it.
