V4400 2-in-1 Vacuum Sealer Machine with Automatic Vacuum Sealer Bag Detection and Starter Kit

I finally splurged and bought this. Now I know why everyone loves this system! For summer bounty from your garden, for premade meals, for pantry items and emergency supplies, for hunters and those who hunt for bulk sales of meats at the store, there is just nothing like this system for keeping everything fresh. If you read the directions, it's very easy to use and works every time. Seals in less than 30 seconds with no waiting to seal the next bag. No wasted bag edges either, it seals very close to the end. I use a regular zip type bag (with the zip area cut off), inside all the foodsaver bags to make it easier to re-use them. Usually no washing necessary! For long term storage, I use the rolls and premade bags. For short term, and frequent opening and closing, I use the ones with the vacuum hole. Although I was told that the vacuum hole type were "not recommended" for the freezer, I have found that they work just fine. All that is required is very careful sealing technique and a small piece of freezer tape over the hole for added security. For soups, sauces, pie fillings, and other liquids, I freeze them first in lock n lock containers, then I transfer the food into the bags. If you are going to boil the contents at some point, it may be better not to use an inner bag. No telling if it would melt. For real economy, and longer term storage, I use Ball freezer jars with the wide mouth vacuum attachment. Cook that big batch of spaghetti sauce or soup once and enjoy it all winter! At first the cost of the bags seemed to be more than the savings on the food, but with inner bags, or better yet wrapping portions in cling or even sandwich bags, all bags are re-usable, and even easy to wash if desired. For added cost savings on premade and rolls of bags check out "food vac bags" they are sold here on Amazon, and are just as good as the name brand. What an invention! This is the best purchase I have made this year!

Love this machine! I had one previously that quit vacuuming. Replace with identical unit. It definitely works wonderfully for saving food in your freezer. I also have the zip seal bags that I keep my cheese in for the fridge to keep it fresh longer. Highly recommend one of these devices.

I just bought this from Amazon to replace one (same model) I recently returned to FoodSaver. After 2 years of use, the nipple on the hand-held sealer broke off while removing it from it's attachment. I feel this is a design flaw). They have a 5 year limited warranty, and I was able to return it to FoodSaver for a full refund. A little inconvenient, but I was very happy with the way they handled it. I use the hand-held sealer frequently to seal canisters and mostly to marinate meats in the marinading vacuum container. I never use the special vacuum attachment so from now on I'm going to leave it detached to reduce the possibility of breaking off the nipple again. I've been using FoodSaver vacuum sealers for many years (this is my forth one) and I've been very pleased with the performance and ease of use of this particular model. I highly recommend the V4440.

I should probably wait until I've had it a while, but I have had the older version of this for 7 years, and it worked great. The old one acted up last week and I had a bunch of chicken open and ready to seal for the freezer. Turns out it was kind of gross inside and it worked after I cleaned it. I decided to look for a new one. I tried another model from FoodSaver and I didn't like that it was manual, so I ordered the V4400. It arrived today and I used it to put a large package of pork chops into the freezer in smaller vacuum sealed portions. It works great! faster and more powerful than the manual models.

Gift for my bride. We had borrowed a “FoodSaver” brand from a neighbor, we already knew the quality. Our new FoodSaver V4400 did not disappoint. Ordered December 2025 and received within a few days. We have already vacuumed sealed a lot of wonderful Christmas and New Year’s leftovers that otherwise would have been thrown out or left in the fridge to spoil. The food we have already vacuum sealed with our FoodSaver in a couple weeks has more than paid for the machine. Set-up, learning curve, and easy controls allow you to become a “vacuum sealer expert” within a few minutes of opening the box. It’s lightweight and the bag length cutter is a big PLUS. Stores easy under countertop. Function controls are simple: cut bag to length, seal end, fill bag, vacuum and seal. Automatic seal is great (no buttons to push). Green and red lights tell you when each phase is complete and the entire vacuum/seal process is well under a minute. It is little noisy, but you get used to it. Save money and prevent freezer burn. I highly recommend!

these units are amazing for quality, ease of use and durability. We butcher several deer each year, freeze a lot of produce from our garden and bulk buys of things on sale. we seal rice, beans oats and other dry items to prevent age, moisture and insect destruction. the jar sealing attachment is also useful for sealing things for storage, sealing out moisture. we're finding it costs very little more to go first class with this product.

Wish I could give this more stars! I cant say enough good about it, it is the best thing I have purchased ever! I am what some might call "lazy", but . . . I prefer to say efficient! This sits on my counter as I can see me using it everyday!!! I received this Saturday and by the next day I used everything single sample bag that came with it! I have even cut and used the roll inside the storage area (awesome idea. works so smoothly and you don't have to go find some scissors) anyway, this is too damn easy to use and I absolutely love, love the accessory hose and the ziplock bags the most, they are so easy to fill, zip and use this attachment, which by the way retracts itself when you are done! you don't even have to wind it yourself!!!! and I don't have to store it away, and dig around trying find some handheld device, I don't have to cut, seal one side of a bag, place it precisely in the slot and push down just exactly right to seal and hope it works! which is what I was doing with the old fashion foodsaver I THREW AWAY! this is pretty compact and has worked PERFECTLY with every single bag I have tried , I am dying to try all the containers for my berries and lettuce which I somehow end up throwing away!! I swear this thing has paid for itself already! if you are reading this and all the other reviews, please don't hesitate to buy this, it is friggin worth it, the more expensive one that is $179 is exactly like this one except for the placement of the buttons, soooooo if you don't mind your buttons on the bottom rather than the top, save yourself about 35-38 dollars, and go buy yourself some ziplock bags and containers and have fun :-)

I am really excited about my vacuum machine thus far; turning roasts into steaks, buying club packs (& freezing) and vacu-packing vs canning. Dislikes: *Does not hold the really large inexpensive plastic rolls though they are easy to cut to length by hand. Likes: *Ease of use *Vacuum power *Speed *It's fun to use I have never used a vacuum machine before so I can't compare with an unknown industry standard, but this is very good.

I purchased this from a UAE site and brought it to Somalia, expecting it to work in Somalia as both the UAE and Somalia use the same voltage standard (220V). However, upon trying to use it, the machine turned on briefly and then shut off. After some investigation, I discovered that the product is designed for 110-120V, which is incompatible with the 220V standard used here. Unfortunately, I am unable to return the product to the UAE due to logistical reasons. I am requesting assistance to resolve this issue, such as a replacement or a partial payment option for a compatible product. This situation has been quite frustrating, and I hope you can offer a solution to help address this problem.

وصلني في حالة جيدة والاشكال في الكهرباء 110 وعندنا في السعودية 220 فيلزم وجود محول ولذلك ارجعته ولم استخدمه مع ان الذي اعرفه ان الجمارك لا تسمح بدخول اي جهاز مخالف للمواصفات والمقاييس السعودية ومنها جهد الكهرباء وساضطر للبحث مرة اخرى عن جهاز مناسب
