Nice sharp knife, no rust, I use it for grafting.

Unless you know how to shape and hone a knife blade, just go spend the extra money on a quality brand knife (though you should still atleast know how to hone a knife either way). The blade bevel was obviously attempting to be a single bevel, but i guess they couldn't get it sharp enough so the went ahead and started a tiny bevel on the other end? which didn't make is sharp enough anyways, so it just makes more work for the shaping, cuz now you have to work the real bevel till you get past the faux bevel. the bark lifter was a bit thick and the corners of blade spine were a bit rough, freaked me out i thought i had my thumb on the wrong side of the blade, i had to check if i cut myself...so some action from the belt sander for the bevel, diamond files on the bevel, spine and bark lifter, and 1200 grit sand paper for the spine and bark lifter. some considerable work later i can shave hairs off my are with a single stroke (after stropping too, of course), but when i put the blade to some bark, i feel it wiggle in the handle, making me wonder if someday it will snap and all my fine work honing will someday be turned against me. i love it for working some small scions and branches, but i don't think i'm comfortable doing bark grafts with this knife. If you're like me and enjoy sharpening knives when your bored, you may really appreciate this as a nice little pocket grafting knife, but i wouldn't test it's limits and i wouldn't buy this if you think you're going to pull it out of the box and go do some grafting.

Seems to be decently constructedActually has right handed chisel grind required for grafting. Still had to spend a good long time deceasing the angle of the bevel and working through grits of whetstones up through polishing with strop.At least I didn’t have to deal with the bevel on the wrong (left) side of the blade as I have with other cheap grafting knivesHas worked very well with practice cuts. Hopefully it will hold up when I start doing actual grafting this MarchPicture of edge after sharpening, unfortunately I did not take a before picture

Seems like a nice sturdy knife, has a good weight without being too heavy.The edge needs some touch up but thats to be expect for this price range.

I've had this knife about a year and its worked well for me after a couple of "tweeks" when it came. First, the blade was quite loose. I performed a tightening of the rivet and fixed that using a small ball peen among other tools. The other issue was the grind of the blade. The bevel of the cutting was uneven and the edge was not straight. Took a little grinding and filing to get it to proper shape for sharpening. It sharpens easily now and holds an edge very well. It is not a lock-back but holds strongly in the open position so is quite safe. Weight, size and balance is excellent and handles well when making cuts. So if you're looking for a knife that ready to go out of the box this one is probably not the one for you but if you're handy with knives this is a good economy model.

Ok pruning knife. The handle has a crack that runs about 1/2 the length of the knife. So much for quality control. Seems nice enough for what it designed to do, but I still need to sharpen it to find out if it will hold an edge. I needed it in the garden asap or I would have asked for an exchange. Too early in ownership to offer a comprehensive review, but except for the cracked handle it is pretty much what I expected for the price. Would have ranked it higher but for the crack.
