Until getting this case, my go-to case has been the Supcase Unicorn Beetle:https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B078K4KZQM/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1This is still a great case, I have bought 4 in the last 2 years (I typically replace my phone annually). It has protected my phones from many drops. In fact I bought a case that looked very similar to this when the Pixel 2 XL came out last year because Supcase had not yet released theirs. I dropped my phone on tile from sofa height and suffered my first fractured screen ever. I switched to the Supcase and never had another issue.Clearly, I am happy with that product. However, this case from esr has totally won me over. It takes everything I like about the Unicorn Beetle and adds a nice, smooth, and very clear glass back panel. I really like how smooth that glass back is. The whole case makes it look like there isn't anything on my phone and it barely adds bulk to my phone.The one thing that I am a little nervous about with this case is that the corner bumpers are not as thick as those on the Unicorn Beetle. It makes me wonder if it offers quite as much as that case. If it does, this is going to be my new go-to.April 2019 update: This case has held up great. No issues with its protection at all. I noticed a small crack on the back last night, so I am going to get another one. Obviously, with an all plastic case, there is no chance of it cracking. That said, I am willing to live with that trade off for the aesthetics and feel (I love that smooth back).One small word of caution. As the back is glass, it is a bit less grippy when in your pocket. I have one pair of shorts that things always seem to fall out of when I am driving (pens, lip balm,etc.). I never noticed my phone sliding out with the all plastic cases, but this one has slid out a few times . . . which leads to everyone's favorite activity: digging between the seat and the armrest to fish it out! (lol)Other than these items. I would recommend this case to anyone. I am going to stick with this for my current and future phones.

EDIT: I was contacted by ESR customer service after I had left the below review. They offered to replace the case as a courtesy, and true to their word, they sent me out a free case, even with very fast shipping. I have been using it a few days now and I even dropped it one time, and it did not break like the previous one.My conclusion of this case is this: The case is the most unique and aesthetically pleasing case out there. How it looks, how it feels in the hand, the quality of the materials, are all awesome. But if you're going to buy this case, you have to recognize it for what it is - a beautiful case that is going to sacrifice itself to protect your phone from falls. As I said previously, the first time I dropped my phone, the case broke, but it did its job and there was nothing wrong with the phone itself. It provides great coverage over most of the phone (as long as you have a screen protector). All of this adds up to 4 stars. What bumps it up to the 5th star is the customer service that makes sure you are happy, no questions asked. My experience with the customer service department made me feel like this is a company that has high hopes. I am looking forward to all future products they decide to bring to the market going forward.First, the case is aesthetically beautiful to look at and touch. Because I don't like cases, I purchased this case thinking it would mimic the actual phone as much as possible and I must say, it was pleasing in this regard. Also, contrary to other reviewer, my wireless charging worked just fine with both Pixel Stand and another cheap Qi charger.The reason for 2 stars is because the case broke so easily. Only about a week into using it, it dropped from knee level with very little force and the back glass shattered. The drop was soft enough that I didn't expect there to be the amount of damage there is. Being a glass back, of course I expected it to be at some risk of breaking, but this was much more fragile than I expected. Luckily, the case did its job and protected my phone from damage, but at almost $20, I expected it to be sturdier than this... I guess I have no choice but to get a clear TPU case...

Update:It's such a beautiful case that you have to be realistic; It will break after a few drops. But my phone doesn't even have a scratch so it did the job. Ironically I dropped it a few times a month after I got it and it broke. But I haven't really dropped it ever since. Also now that it's ugly I don't care to add that magnet for my car and that sticker from my company. I'm getting a new one to use outside of the car but will keep this one so I have that magnet on it when using in the car.Case grips the phone well but it's also easy to snap on and off.*******************************************************Pretty cool case. I'll update once is on my phone. Waiting for the phone to arrive from bestbuy but I tried it on my pixel two lol and it looks pretty cool. Not compatible for pixel 2 though as the camera doesn't fit in so well. But really nice lightweight clear case. I've had a clear OtterBox symmetry since I got my pixel 2 and love how secure it is but it gets so dirty. This case seems like it won't have that problem HOWEVER unlike with my pixel two that I've kept it without a screen cover, I do think this case requires you to have a screen cover. I'm waiting for mine to arrive and then I'll have my phone all set. Nice case, nice phone, nice screen cover!

Finally a case that doesn’t wrap my beautifully crafted phone in in a black rubber parka. The glass back DOES feel much more natural but as with the phone’s glass back it is slippery so I’ve had to learn to stay alert to it sliding off a fabric chair arm. I highly recommend this reasonably priced innovation - I am delighted and I believe you will be too.

***Update after 5 days of usage***The case is actually proving to be sturdy. I accidently dropped my phone once but not a single scratch or damage was done.The images used to advertise this product makes it look a lot thinner than it actually is. I'm surprised how much bulkier it is now.The back is solid so it makes it feel a bit more secure.Fingerprint sensor isn't cut properly (?) because the hole behind the case is clearly larger than the actual sensor. I wouldn't mind this size difference if the sensor was at least centered but it's not.I'd recommend buying a premium case and use this case as a "backup".

Es bonita, pero poco práctica. Para empezar, pesa bastante, de hecho hace que tengas la sensación de que el teléfono pesa el doble que antes. El acabado tampoco es muy fino, así que también se vuelve más grande que con otras fundas. Es verdad que no se quedan mucho las huellas, pero se mete suciedad por dentro, así que en realidad queda feo de otro modo. La llevé un par de semanas y la he cambiado por la funda oficial.
