I have these Hampton Bay light fixtures (model 626368) where the middle part is frosted glass, so I need bulbs that emit some light out the sides, not just the front. That's why I've been sticking with inefficient halogens for so long: until recently, LED GU10s could only shine light out the front, like spotlights. This bulb has a glass casing like older halogen and incandescent GU10s, so it emits some light from the sides in addition to the front. Finally, a cheap LED bulb that is suitable for use in my fixtures! I'd previously used the Philips 465054, which also lights up the sides of the fixtures. See photo #1 for a comparison of this bulb with the Philips: the Mastery Mart bulb is on the left, and the Philips is on the right. Here are some differences I've noted: PROS: * Much cheaper, easy to buy in bulk CONS: * Light out the sides is dimmer than with the Philips 465054s * When looking through the side of the frosted glass fixture, there's a green-ish spot in the middle of the bulb, which is not present with the Philips 465054s. See photo #2 for an example. MATTERS OF TASTE: * This bulb's beam angle is wider, about 40 degrees as opposed to Philips's 35 degrees. * This bulb's 2700K color temp gives more of an orange hue than the Philips 465054 at 3000K; my wife finds this bulb's orange-ish color more pleasing for our home. It's still whiter than any of my old halogens or incandescents.

If you're have track lights with glass shades and you're looking for LED bulbs that match the backlighting of halogen bulbs, good luck! For most LED bulbs in this style, backlighting is non-existent. These bulbs give off enough backlight to light up the shades, which is one of the main criteria I was searching for in an LED replacement. In addition to that, they are dimmable and have a pleasing warm color. At full brightness they are very bright, and they have a wide dimmable range before they start to flicker. I've also reviewed the Phillips GU10 LEDs and I find that these are slightly warmer, slightly brighter, and have just a bit more backlight. I wouldn't say that the Phillips are on the daylight side of the light spectrum, but they are very neutral in color compared to the warmth of these bulbs. I like these better, but they're not so different that I'm going to replace the Phillips LEDs with these.

Replaced 50W Halogen bulbs with these. I was worried that the light would feel too different but there was no need to worry. The color listed as 2700K and that is how it feels to me when I compare it to different LEDs that I have. The lights are very bright when at full power. They dim very well without any noise. The only small issue I have is with dimming. They don't dim down to 0% which would have been nice. But that is a minor nitpick. They dim down to about 20%. The beam is diffused and not a spotlight. My bulbs are overhead at 6 foot intervals and the lights all blend together. I can't speak to their longevity yet, but they seem well made and I am very happy with these.

These dim all the way down without flickering. They get warm, but not hot, which is a huge improvement over the old style bulbs. They don't produce and side glow, so my lamp shades don't glow when they are on. The light is strictly out the front. Otherwise, these are great dimmable led lights.

I have several fixtures that have an open shroud around the light bulb. The old halogen lights were glass and looked very pretty when installed. I've bought 3 other brands made of plastic and they looked cheap. These are almost as beautiful in my fixtures as the halogens. The quality of the light is very pretty and the dimmable feature works beautifully. The light quality of these LEDs at full power is the same as the halogen at full power, but at minimum power, the halogen is much more gold. That said, the light from these bulbs is beautiful, low or high brightness. I am ordering another set.

I bought a ten pack in May of '20 to replace the 10 halogen 50w bulbs in some lighting. At 6w (advertised) each they are using 12% of the energy and just as bright as the ones that came with the light fixtures. The bulbs get warm, but not egg cooking hot like the old halogens. As of now, February '23 I have one bulb of the 10 that has started flickering occasionally. I don't know exact run time, but the set of five that needs one replaced is the fixture that gets more use than the other. They are plenty bright for their purpose as well, just as bright as the halogens. I'm impressed with the run time and energy use. I'm tempted to measure the actual power draw and compare to the advertised amount. Overall a good purchase, I'd recommend them.

Replaced bulbs in my all black track lighting purchased from Home Depot many years ago. The lights themselves have obscured/clear lenses - not so clear that you can see the diodes when they're off. The lenses are all I see on the lights there's nothing about them stands out as awkward next to an all black housing. It looks elegant - like it's supposed to. The change from halogen bulbs was easy and the fit was perfect - virtually the same as the halogen bulbs fit. The ends locked in to bulb sockets just fine with little to no play in them. When powered on I was amazed at the brightness and color warmth of these bulbs. I have 8 bulbs spanning a 12' section of track lighting and these bulbs make it very bright but not overly so. The warmth color of 2700K was the perfect warmth for the room. Very happy I went with these. Didn't break the bank either. They're great!

We have halogen lighting in our kitchen and I just could not tolerate the heat they gave off any more. We had tried a different type of LEDs from a big box store a couple of years ago, but the sides were opaque and looked ugly in this particular light fixture. I decided to try again in 2020 to see if anyone had produced a better solution, found these, and ordered these new LEDs that are surprisingly wonderful. The sides are see-through when the light is on and look nice in the sockets (see photo), the lights are almost as bright as the halogens and I can actually can see and read better with these LEDs, and the dimmer function works. The best part of all is that I'm not sweating as much while I'm cooking and we no longer have to dim the halogen lights to half their wattage and turn up the AC to cool off the room. I cannot give a review on their longevity, since I just purchased them, but so far I am very pleased with this purchase. They come well-packed, and my order arrived very promptly. A huge "Thank you!" to the manufacturer, the seller, and the shipper.

After 6 months of use, these lamps have passed the test for smooth dimming, no flicker and no failures. The colour temperature is perfect and they are plenty bright at full dimmer setting, with a broad flood of light. They are a bit whiter than a halogen, but still very easy on the eyes compared to other LED replacements. All-in-all, a very good choice if you liked the warm white colour of halogen and want good brightness (better than halogen at full brightness)

We had stuck with halogens for probably longer than we should've for our track lighting, but as we change our households lighting to LED one by one it was a eventual changeover. The price for LEDs have become very competitive as in the past there was quite a big price gap and more incentive to stay with halogens. I'll stress that the competitive price point seems to be inclusive to brands such as these on Amazon, as I couldn't find anything this affordable at say Canadian Tire. These were slated to replace our 50W halogen bulbs, and thus far they are doing a tremendous job. The aesthetics of the light produced is a bit different, not as sharp and cutting but more of a glow and spread - we quite like it. Aside from the energy savings, it's also not volcano hot and it's supposed to last a lot longer - the halogens we have seemed to need replacing very often. Also worth noting that they Energy Star and UL certified. If it does as it says, it will likely outlast our tracking lighting itself. The set came very fast and very well packaged. So much so that I thought it warranted a picture shoutout. Sometimes you get things from off brands here and it comes in the most questionable of presentation, but this felt professional grade. The lights themselves feel solid too, so far we're very pleased - bright, comfortable, no lag, flickering or buzzing of any kind.

Used in spotlights to replace halogen bulbs. Light is really similar (warm white), and these worked fine with my existing incandescent dimmer. Installation was easy - the fit is interchangeable. The biggest improvement for me is that these are much cooler than the halogens. I felt like I could nearly burn my hand when adjusting the old lights and these are much cooler.
