Whirlpool 1.1 Cu. Ft. White Low Profile Microwave Hood Combination - WML55011HW

I ordered this for my wife while I’m deployed to a Afghanistan just to have her tell me, when my father goes to install it, that the instructions are for another model, the mounting hardware is missing, and the turntable guide is broken. Beyond ridiculous. It’s obvious there is no quality control.

We replaced practically all of our appliances with Whirlpool range, refrigerator and over the oven microwave. We're into our first year of ownership and they are all doing well, including the WML55011HWEXCEPT...why on earth did Whirlpool decide that a three wheeled caddy underneath the glass microwave plate was a good idea? The three wheeled caddy is constantly tilting the plate and we have to shut it down, get a stepstool (yeah, we're not tall people!) and reset the caddy and center disc. This is our first microwave that didn't have a four-wheel mechanism. I'm sure it was a cost-cutting manufacturing spec insisted on by the bean-counters at Whirlpool. Hopefully it wasn't the idea of engineering.

Bought it for my home! Wife loves it as it gives her lots more room from stove top to microwave! The way they design the mounting plate as a template to install it is cool! Went in nice! Wish they had put in LED BULBS instead of Halogen! They could have put in a few more features which my old one had (GE)! Finish tone is quite soft , turntable doesn’t change direction etc! Pretty pricey!

The unit itself seems fine. However, the installation instructions are poorly written, confusing, and sometimes completely wrong.

This microwave is great! Works great, great size....waited a very long time for this size over the stove microwave. Love it!
