Q: Does this carrier close all the way?

It has two buttons , one on each end ..does not close all the way. Depending on size of dog you can button one or both or none.

Q: Would this be secure enough for cycling?

Yes I would say so as long as you stay within the weight limit. The bag is deep enough that I can put my 13 pound chihuahua completely in the bag and people wouldn't be able to see any part of her if I wanted to. On the flip side, my dog did almost fall out one time when I didnt have her far enough in the bag and I bent over a bit to unlock a door. So the bag is secure enough if you take the proper precautions too when changing directions and the bag shifts.

Q: Will this work for a 6 Ft 1 in man? some are to short in strap length.

I think so. Its padded strap is adjustable, similar to a backpack length. Contact company for more info.

Q: Is this suitable 14lb Yorkshire terrier?

Firstly, make certain you do not mind carrying 14lbs over one shoulder because weight distribution can be problematic if you have health issues. I easily carry our 8lb Irish Terrier pup around on our walks as she’s very young so not fully vaccinated enough to frolic on the contaminated ground yet. That said, my husband has shoulder problems and can’t carry her this way. Yorkies have short backs and are short in height and so if you are up to carrying 14 pounds on one shoulder the dog should fit ok in the satchel. It has two button and loop closures to tighten up the top and keep the dog from trying to hang too loose or spring out. It also has a short restraint hook to clip to your harness or collar to help should the dog attempt escape. There is ample room in the satchel for 14 lbs shaped like a Yorkie.
