Recommended. Very interesting concept of presenting ideas in fictional form that would usually be found in non-fiction.Of course, some stories are better than others. I think may have been different authors.If you like either fiction or science fiction or medicine, please give it a try.Only reason for one star off is that I don't remember it very well.Fascinating reading. Go buy it. But check for the best price. I think Amazon's is lower.

Very well written! The author’s medical background undoubtedly gives him great realism in his writing. I was impressed with how beautiful the stories were. They were quite engaging. The scientific training of a physician combined with the imagination and craft of a science-fiction writer yields a wonderful product for anyone who has wished for more science in SF. I highly recommend this read!

It is rare that the stories of one author in a collection scores with more than one story. In this collection every story is a page turner and provides a glimpse of the near future. I am looking forward to seeing some of these devices pop up in our own life times at a price we can actually afford.
