This works really well to make chocolate covered pretzels

First off, it leaked. So there was a little chocolate oozing out of the bottom. Messy, but not messier than a double boiler, so I wasn't too put off by it. However, the bigger problem is that the paper/cardboard container itself absorbed the oil from the chocolate, so I had to keep adding oil to keep the chocolate from getting too hard or scorching in the microwave. It was a losing battle. By the end of the little tube of chocolate, it was coming out lumpy and I couldn't salvage it. With a double boiler I can usually use all my chocolate, down to scraping it out with a rubber spatula for the last drizzling bits. With this, it felt like a lot of work to keep salvaging it, followed by much more waste than I am used to. Ultimately, this was faster for melting, but no good for actually using the chocolate.

Had to make 200 dipped pretzels for a wedding and the cardboard held up well only had to switch to a new box 1 time after it started leaking

Never made chocolate cover pretzels before and it came up as a suggested item on Amazon, so I thought, what the heck and bought them, picked up some chocolate and pretzels and went to a friend’s house to try them out. Holy cow, these melting boxes were wonderful. super easy to use and mess free. Our pretzels came out looking great! Will definitely order again!

I had high hopers for these. It worked but the boxes are not very durable. It takes quite a bit of chocolate to use, so it's not good for small batches. Save yourself the hassle and money and use a glass! I won't purchase again.

I love these! I have used them twice for dipping pretzel rods. Admittedly, I don't use the microwave to melt the chocolate. I have a Wilton Candy Melt Pot that I use to melt the chocolate and then I pour it into the container to use for dipping. Works very well and super easy cleanup. I can get about half a bag of pretzel rods coated with one container full. Then I just melt more and refill. Sturdy containers - I have done four dozen pretzel rods with just one container and no leaks.

Life savors. I don't melt enough chocolate at a time to use a bigger container so my pretzels always looked very shoddy. These were just what I needed. I didn't have to waste chocolate. Then ro be able to toss after use was also awesome.
