Great foundation

Bought this shade by looking at different online swatches, and I’m so so happy it was a perfect match for my light-medium olive skin tone without being too pink or yellowish! For reference I’m ard NC20-25 : ) Regarding the coverage I wouldn’t say this is a full coverage foundation, but it has a decent medium+ coverage on my super oily skin, leaving a beautiful and natural finish without being cakey like wearing a mask. It’s cruelty free too! It’s not completely transfer proof, but most of the foundation is still intact at the end of the day. I lightly applied setting powder on top of the foundation, and only slightly blotted my face late afternoon. This may not work for very dry skin ladies, but it’s a decent drugstore foundation for oily ladies. I would say it feels like wearing a lighter coverage version of Estes Lauder double wear stay in place.

When I first tried this foundation by NYX I thought I’d found my holy grail. An affordable foundation that it full coverage and actually fits my skin tone (I’m very pale with a lot of redness occasionally and this foundation covers it and matches me so well!) But it comes with quite a few downsides unfortunately that make me hesitate to give 5 stars. Number one is the consistency of the foundation. It’s quite thick, and dries very quickly. It means that the coverage is amazing, almost as good as a concealer, but blending it is kind of a race against time. If you leave it for a few moments too long you’ll find it has dried almost entirely on your face. It’s not a huge problem, but it can be a bit frustrating as you can find yourself using more of the product than needed because it dries so quickly. covering your whole face if you have skin issues like I do can be a bit of a chore. The thickness of the foundation also led to another issue I hadn’t imagined. It has ruined my makeup sponges one by one! It really does cake onto my real techniques sponge and is pretty difficult so clean off, to the point that cleaning the sponge it has actually ripped when trying to get all the excess foundation from it. If you use your fingers or a makeup brush to apply your foundation then this probably won’t be an issue! The only other little gripe is the bottle. If you were wanting to take the black plastic lid from the bottle (to get out of the last of the product that the pump can’t reach) then be prepared for foundation to go EVERYWHERE. It’s sealed so tight when really it could have just been a screw cap maybe? It’s not a huge issue though, just maybe open it up somewhere easy to wipe down when the foundation inevitably goes everywhere haha. In all I still use this foundation daily. It really is great for somebody who wants a cheap but really nice quality foundation, and it lasts almost all day for me. It’s just a shame it likes to eat my makeup sponges and dry to my skin like cement!

I only decided to try a different foundation because my current one is still darker than my skin tone. This is the WORST foundation I have ever used. Before trying this foundation, my older foundation went on my face flawlessly with no issues. It would last all day, cover every pore and didn’t go on cakey or leave patches. So when I tried this foundation and had issues, I knew straight away it’s the foundation that is the problem. I got the palest shade, so I don’t know if the palest colour has a different formula to the other shades but it is like water and has a powder-y feel to the foundation (almost like there’s talc in the foundation). But there’s no talc in the ingredients. So it’s no surprise that it didn’t cover my face at all because it’s so watery.. it goes on patchy and just doesn’t cover equally. I’ve never even worn this once because I immediately wiped it off and binned it.

I find this foundation to be nice when I want an all around level solid level of coverage. The formulation is smooth and the consistency is thick, and I feel you get a great product and formula for the price. For me I prefer to apply with a sponge, it tends to be more streaky with my brushes. But it tends to last a good solid 8 hours for me. The only thing I dislike isn't the product itself, but the applicator. If you're not very stringent on cleaning it it dries up a lot around the top and is very hard to scrape off. Considering I'm not wearing full coverage all day in quarantine, it's annoying to grab it in two weeks and realize I'm going to have to scrape constantly off the bottle. That's a very minor issue and I don't think detracts from the product enough to take away a star. I highly recommend this if you're looking for an affordable, full coverage foundation.

Nice natural look for a great price. My everyday foundation. Affordable

I got this in the shade pale, and unlike most other drugstore brand foundations it holds true to the name. It's the perfect neutral toned pale shade, no orange! It has a really nice light weight finish, medium coverage, I use a tinted powder over the top and it looks great and lasts all day. I also don't get the ugly dry patches I often get with even $50 foundation. I definitely consider this a win, great value for the price.

Great product perfect color match will not recommend for dry skin affordable

I love this foundation because it lightweight. I have a lot of red in my face and i like that i can build with this foundation so i am able to cover my redness without it looking like i have too much makeup. The price is unbeatable. before this i would buy Becca for about $40 dollars and i'm not going back to spending that when I can get this great foundation for only $15. What I also love about this foundation is that if it starts wearing off a little for some reason, i am able to easily build on it without it again looking like i have a lot of foundation on. Overall: Natural looking with great coverage!!!
