First set were durable, replacements not.
I got 80 months out of my first set of bulbs until one burned out, so I replaced both. I hope these new ones last as long. By the way, when you replace them, DISCHARGE THE GRID first! Even unplugged there must be a capacitor in there because I got a wicked shock. Unplug the unit. Just touch a screwdriver or any other metal object across two adjacent grid wires. The current will cross through the metal object and discharge. Now you can touch the grid safely. UPDATE 8-14-24: One of the replacement bulbs burned out in 8 months, nowhere near the 80 months I got out of the originals. Pretty sad. UPDATE 10-10-24 Alright now I got TWO months use out of these. That’s 40 times worse than the originals. Not buying this brand again. However, I suspect they are all crap regardless of manufacturer. I need some made in Germany, not China!!!
