Every boat needs a gaffe
Lightweight construction makes it easy to use; floats; well constructed, the end isn’t going anywhere. Nice that the end point section is rounded; I don’t know if that’s required now in place of the older point but definitely safer. Have had to use to retrieve many a hat that’s gone overboard.

MADE IN THE USA. TOP USA QUALITY! Functions well and truely built to take a lot of stress! This is my second one which I recently purchased… confess that I bought this 2nd as I can’t find where I misplaced my first one that I have been frequently using for over 23 years… used with my boat here in salt water… since selling my boat in 2002, I use it for anything that I need to reach for and pull to me including a lot of tall hedging and oak tree trimming/cleanup work on our acreage… I couldn’t do my extensive artistic landscaping without it… and many Stihl chainsaws, pruners, trimmers, etc…. With all the stress I have pit the original one through over the years I have been amazed it never broke especially as I am very strong and ‘normal’ things break too easily when I push past the limits. I’ll eventually come across my original as I work through the land… when found…. I will give this one to my granddaughter to use on her farm.I rarely write a review… but unlike today’s ‘disposable’ world of Chinese junk… this USA pole is simply built so well that I had to speak up!

Broke my old one from the 60s
It’s a 7/10. Better than using an oar. But not like the all metal Ezee dock hook from the 60’s.

Absolute must have pontoon accessory
I purchased this boat hook for my 2018 Sylvan Mirage 8520 CRS. My only regret is I didn't get it sooner. I have only had this a short time and use this for grabbing dock poles when docking, cleaning weeds off the prop, and scooping up items that inevitably fly out while under way (hats, plastic bags, etc). It fits perfectly in the storage compartment under the sun pad.Highly recommended.

Makes docking SO MUCH EASIER!
I'm not sure how I survived so many years of boat ownership prior to having these dock poles to assist in getting hooked up after a boat ride. These should be in every boat on the water!
