Lots of Light
I wanted to replace a fluorescent light fixture in a sewing nook and this one looked promising. I had to get assistance for someone to hold it up while I wired it. Then I had to adjust the center support screw to the correct depth so the fixture would tighten to the ceiling. This was more trouble than it should have been. Once installed, it looks good and provides a lot of light to a closet, a sewing machine and an ironing board. It is very adjustable. I bought 4000K GU10 LED bulbs separately.

Great light fixture and very good price!
This is a very well price ceiling light for what you get. It holds 6 GU10 light bulbs and each bulb can be aimed individually. We got this in black and the fixture is beautiful. It’s hard to find a fixture with this many lights and nice design for this price. The installation is tricky. It is held only by a center “nut” that threads into the ceiling support. The downside to this is that since it is only held in the center, the light fixture can rotate about the center by hand if you have it mounted to a very smooth cover plate like we do. This is probably not an issue if mounted on the ceiling drywall directly or an issue in general unless someone is going to swing from the light fixture. We had to use a cover plate to hide the warped drywall from the ceiling fan this replaced. Since you have no way of letting the fixture hang on the ceiling support while connecting the wiring, this was a two person job. This comes with halogen bulbs but I recommend you order LED bulbs as the halogens use high amounts of energy and will cause issues with heat. If using the halogen bulbs, make sure your light switch and wiring is rated to handle the combined bulb wattage. Overall, very happy with this purchase. We got another one in the silver color for our other bedroom.

Happy with the light for the price.
Well, I can confirm that the quality of the light is good. By no means is the 4 light fixture a $120 light fixture quality, but it is very sufficient for our needs. It is worth the price we paid. We put Led bulbs in it at the start (why is anyone buying halogens anymore?!), and the heat output is a non-issue. Warm to the touch, but barely. Bulbs are a pain to put in compared to others, but that is the nature of GU10s. The shade designs only make it slightly more challenging to install them. With LEDs, there isn't really a concern since we won't be changing them hardly ever. Exercising a little patience makes the job easy. I am by no means a novice DIYer, but installation in general took less than 10 minutes, and installing the bulbs took probably another 5-10.

Handy useful lighting
I received this in the usual Amazon timely manner. Installation was easy although I have a drop type ceiling and I had to use 1'x4' shims to mount. the instruction for wiring were clear and meet electrical code. The fixture comes with 50 watt halogen bulbs. During operation these heat up quite a bit. I tried to remove one of these bulbs using an included suction cup installer/remover. It melted and smeared burning plastic on the face of the bulb. This was shortly after turning the lights off. I waited a few minutes, then used a paper towel to try to remove the bulb. The towel started smoldering on contact. The idea came to me that this could be a fire hazard. I have installed LED 3000K and some 4000K bulbs for a mixture of useful light frequencies. They are much cooler in temperature. Now, the fixture, the individual light 'cups' can be positioned straight down vertically or 90 degrees horizontally. The 'light cups' swivel thru an arc of about 340 degrees so that you can position them anywhere you might like. It appears that this arc could be adjusted with tools but, I think that would be too much tinkering. The arms the lights are attached to will swing so that they can be positioned together or any way you might like. It seems very sturdy. A great thing, I am using about 40 watts total as opposed to 80 or 300 watts for lighting. I could leave this on all year and use just a little more power than an old fashioned night lite.

Halogens can keep you toasty ! Great Eagle LEDs are working fine !
Globe Electric 5769201 6 Light Foldable Track Lighting Kit, Brushed Steel Finish Sold by: Amazon.com LLC : Heavy duty solid metal construction with silver painted finish. Adjustable arms and individual adjustable lights. I am using LED 5 watt (50 watt equivalent) lights instead of the Halogen spots that are included with this fixture - 30 watts vs. 300 watts ( BULBS USED : 6-Pack of Great Eagle® LED MR16 GU10 120V Warm White Bulb. 50W Replacement 2700K Dimmable Flood Light for Recessed and Track Lighting Fixtures - 5 Yea Sold by: Great Eagle Lighting Corporation ) I am hoping the fixture is ventilated enough for the LEDS. These bulbs are functioning at 20 hours of use so far, (NOTE: the LEDs listed below only 2 of the 6 worked in this fixture) . with the LEDs in use I hold the individual lights in my hand without being burned - Not so with the included 50w Halogen bulb I tried. PROs: 1) Heavy metal construction. 2) Fixture Dual Arms sturdy and do not sag. 3) Each light stays in desired position. 4) attractive design CONs: 1) Interior of each light not a fine of finish as the outside, but acceptable. 2) Heavy fixture, if you have a plastic ceiling electrical box it may sag from the weight (especially if arms are folded on same side). 3) IF included halogen bulbs are used, fixture becomes hot, 50w x 6 = 300 watt electric heater. 4) May not be sufficient "breathing" room for some LEDs (( NOTE: "Frequently bought together " These LEDs DO NOT WORK - overheating and shut off: Triangle Bulbs (6-PACK) LED 6-Watt Dimmable GU10 MR16 60° High Power 50W Equivalent, Warm White Light Bulbs - 6 PACK by Triangle Bulbs - DO NOT WORK! )) -I would have given this fixture 5 stars if Box said "LED approved" ! March 3, 2015 Update: One month later, the Great Eagle LED bulbs (above) are still functioning perfectly. Love the fixture, it puts the light exactly where I want it. Update May 1st 2015 - the LEDs listed above are still working perfectly! (bought in January 2015) I am upgrading from 4 stars to 5 ! Update August 27th 2015 6 months later the Great Eagle LEDs (details above) are working fine in the fixture. Remain very happy with the fixture and the LEDs! UPDATE Jan 02, 2016: Love this fixture, is working great for me - and the " 6-Pack of Great Eagle® LED MR16 GU10 120V Warm White Bulb. 50W Replacement 2700K Dimmable Flood Light for Recessed and Track Lighting Fixtures - 5 Yea Sold by: Great Eagle Lighting Corporation " continue to work great in this fixture. They are slightly larger than the halogen lights that came with the fixture, but not much. The power and heat (A/C) savings here in Florida make a big difference 300 w halogen vs. 30 w for the LEDs!

Arrived Broken -- Not useful
product SHIPPED in January but did not arrive till near end of Febuary. Once I pulled it out of the box and found out it was dented, i decided to return it. No big deal right? Well apparently the 30 day clock on returns starts once the item is shipped ... so all of my "return time" was eaten up while it was shipping and I was unable to get a refund for this BROKEN light track. At this point, i figured, what the hell .. its a little dented but no one is going to be looking up that much so no one will notice. Now we have come to the reason why this product gets its only star ... it is easy to install on a ceiling. once up there though, you are forced to use a little suction cup to put in their special bulbs --which, though accomplisable, it a HUGE pain -- Finally, after it was hung i turned it on. it does in fact cast light, but it is so directionalized that it cast my entire kitchen in giant shadows. Also, i have about 9 ft ceilings, and these lights were so bright that unless they were pointed at the ceiling (which the joint does not allow) the bulb is so focused and bright that it sit at the top of your vision the only thing i can relat it to is driving with the sun in your eye. overall -- aweful comapny, aweful product. with all the lighting options out there, I would steer clear of this one.

For cheap track lighting, it's good
Outside looks good, nice brushed look. Gives off a ton of light but also a lot of heat! Be aware of the heat, don't ever try to adjust the lights when they are on, it will burn you. Inside the cones the metal is unfinished, nicked up, just ugly. You can definitely see it because the "hoods" are lit up by the light. Regardless, for the price it is a good piece (this is the exact same as the Lowe's Portfolio version that is 120+). Install was very easy with a ladder. I don't like how cheap and thin the wiring is (probably 22 gauge), but that is a complaint I have about all wiring these days. I needed more light in the kitchen and this was a good quick fix overall. I would still recommend the product, just don't stare at it too closely

Looks fantastic!
Love this light fixture so much we just ordered another for the next space over which is like the picture. I only bought one because I wanted to see the product up first before deciding to keep it and order the other. We love the look and it gives off plenty of light. The electrician loved how easy it was to install and this fixture can be adjusted to different angles. Better then your typical track lighting in my opinion. The only down side to this fixture are the bulbs they send with. Instead of sending 6 GU10 LED, they send the Halogen. I hate halogen bulbs. But I ordered LED and replaced them with those very easily. Once we switched on the lights we noticed that the warm white 3700K were too warm looking and don’t really match the color output of the others in our house. So...this time I am trying 3000K to get closer to matching them as far as brightness. FYI...LED bulbs go from approx. 2000K to upwards of 10,000K in brightness. In the average household, you would never need anything above 5000K I would imagine. So, the lower the K the warmer (yellow) the output. Our house has high ceilings and we have four 4000K in our living room and that is really bright, so I am switching them to 3000K LED GU10 also. Will try to follow up with the results in a week or so. PS: no rating on the suction cups for the bulbs because I didn’t need to use it. I’m sure it would have worked though.
