This product does exactly what is expected of it, i.e. extend the reach of your electrical outlet to a more convenient distance from the item you want to power. And it does that with a designed style I have not seen before in an item that is just purely functional, and for that it deserves five stars. However, I do have two points I want to convey:1) When switching the power off, on a dormant electrical item, there seems to be a small but momentary electrical surge. As far as I can tell, this does not cause any problems but it is something to keep an eye on.2) When opening up and unpacking this product I found that the electrical cable itself was tied in using a special knot, rather than just being folded into a loop. Therefore, if I had any kind of disability, e.g. arthritis in my fingers, I would not have been able to undo this tied cable, and so unable to use this product.I find this especially disturbing as no consideration was given to disabled customers when this product was being packaged, this can and should be rectified asap.

Mscien are making useful Electrical accessories, Extension Leads, etc. They seem to try to also cater for travelers, with their Universal Sockets and Euro Plugs. They are user-friendly, with individually switched Sockets & colour coded Switches. Some of their Trailers come with a choice of cable lengths. They have recently included USB Charging Ports on their Socket trailers.I find three problems with their products:The first is that the Quality and/or Quality Control, sometimes leave a bit to be desired. I have bought a number of their products, but I had to repair 2 - 3 brand new items, as basic errors such as wrong, or bad wiring connections made items either inoperative or, even, dangerous.The second is a matter of design. I fail to understand why they don't make most, if not all of their Extensions/Trailers with Universal Sockets! What is the benefit of UK Sockets only, when you can have them Universal? This way, they could reduce the number of products and, simply, give the option of UK or European Schuko plugs on their Trailers.Finally, the way they pack and wind the Extension's cable is initially extremely difficult to free and then to use or store as the cable is then distorted for good. People in the know will tell you that creasing cable in this way can damage it internally, reducing its conductivity and current carrying specifications. This can also be dangerous with higher loads.Otherwise, these Mscien Extensions, they are some of the most versatile and decent Value For Money, but they must improve their approach and quality control.

Purchased this extension lead because it has individual switches to each item plugged in. I was unable to find one anywhere in the UK so was delighted when I saw this on Amazon. It arrived very quickly, well packed and just as described by the seller and exactly what I was looking for. It takes the three pin square plug pins that are used in the UK so will be great for what I need. I have bought it to use with the lights on my Christmas tree so it will be easy the turn them off as the lead is just the right length from the plug at the wall to the front of the tree where I will be able to turn off the lights. Highly recommend this item and the supplier.

One plug stopped working (you can see where the plug switch has broken, on the right) and the other burnt out and started smoking. Luckily I was in the same room when it happened or I dread to think what could have happened. I'll be buying known name brands going forwards.

This product looked and felt great and did the job. After continuous use the right switch would not switch off without clicking it back and forth a few times, i thought that was unsafe but recently it has been randomly switching itself back on even though the rocker switch is firmly in the off position!This will be going back straight away, please do not buy for your own safety!

This is just what I needed to make use of an electrical socket that is in the wrong place and could not be used.With this extension lead I was able to easily mount the extended 2 sockets onto the wall where the supply was needed.Has a good weight and solid feel to it and also looks cool with the individually coloured switches and illuminated neon light for each. Good to know it also has surge protection.Not the cheapest on the market but I am a firm believer in that you get what you pay for, quality!

Really pleased with this double extension lead. Perfect for allowing me to use 2 plug sockets, powered from one nearby wall socket. In addition the extension has power switches which means the power can be switched off when there are no plugs plugged in.

This is really good in the home, for me it's a little too bulky for travel, allows me to easily charge two things, whilst leaving the second wall socket free for other family members. It's working well, the wire is nice and thick so not easily breakable. I like the fact I can stop charging one device but continue charging the other due to the two switches.
