Martial Law (Times of Turmoil - Book Two) Paperback – July 25, 2013

I am a big reader and am always on the lookout for new series. I have been on an end of the world kick for a few years and reading everything associated with possible scenarios.This is book 2 in the Time of Turmoil scenario. I like these books because they get across an "apocalyptic" story but using clean language and concepts. It does not detract from the horror of it, or the intent of the doomsday happenings, but nice to keep all the garbage out I find in some other series. I enjoy Chad's writing style. His style reminds me of Vince Flynn, hard and fast and keeps the pages turning. I really enjoy the pacing and structure of this novel.This addition to the series picks up right where the first book left off, and does not slow down. I enjoyed it from beginning to end...although a little disappointed how quickly I got to the end. But I did lose some sleep because I just kept thinking "one more chapter," and that is always a good watermark for me.

A good follow on from the first book of the series. I'm one of those who likes this type of book even though the characters are very 2 dimensional.

Events are realistic within novel.

I gave this book a five star rating because I love reading fictional books focused on the US and the end times. Being a Latter Day Saint, I like to read how the end times might occur based on our current circumstances in the world settings. Books such as this remind me to get my family and I prepared for tough times a head.

I LOVE Chad Daybell's books. I have read everyone that he has published. They are inspiring, full of intrigue and suspense, without adding anything offensive (especially language). It's so refreshing to read an "end times" book without having to wade through offensive language and violence. Chad focuses on the inspiring aspects of our World's transformation!

Pay attention to the details in this series of books. Chad Daybell has had some -um- experiences, and "Times of Turmoil" series and "Standing In Holy Places" series documents some of what he was shown. Don't get too hung up in the story line though.

Daybell's books are so much fun to read I strongly suggest you get the set instead of buying them book by book. Why? Because once into the story, it makes you NUTS to have to wait for the next book! A very fun read!
