As a university student, my friends and I are often looking for new ways to enhance our shared experiences, a considerable portion of which- of course- include partying.With this in mind, we had already acquired lasers, strobe lights, projectors; the usual. I made the decision to purchase a fog machine and, after looking through Amazon at a few of them, settled on this one. I'm glad I did.Packaging was as you might expect for a somewhat generic product, just a cardboard box with the individual components wrapped in plastic. The inclusion of plastic was a shame, but not uncommon with this type of thing- and the cardboard is recyclable. All the parts were protected and undamaged.Set-up was simple, you need not really use the instructions (the English of which can seem a bit dodgy at times), as it is fairly self-explanatory. Plug the receiver into the back of the machine, so the remote can work, and connect the power cable to both the unit and the mains. Unscrew the white cap on the top and fill the reservoir with fog liquid (not included), making sure not to underfill (the metal bearing on the tube need be submerged, else you risk the unit overheating). Switch the power rocker at the back of the unit on and wait around five minutes, until it makes a small hiss noise, for the liquid to heat up. At this point you can press any button on the included remote, and hold it down, for fog to be dispensed.The aforementioned remote has four buttons labelled A to D, though they all perform exactly the same function. Unless I'm missing something, there doesn't seem to be a reason for all these buttons- I assume it is just a generic controller programmed to use with this unit. Regardless, it works reasonably well, Occasionally the connection will cut out if there is something blocking the path to the receiver, or you're too far away- but there is an antenna on the remote which extends, and this does seem to help with range. You can continuously dispense fog for around twenty seconds, during which the coloured LEDs at the bottom light up- they do only stay on as you hold the button, however. If you're wanting a light show with your fog, you'll have to buy another unit.That said, with the lasers and strobes we already had- this fog machine gave us quite the show. Using medium fog liquid, we were able to fill more or less the whole bottom floor of a nine bedroom house with around two refills of the tank. With windows closed, the fog sticks around for a decent length of time, around an hour, and it can always be topped up. There is a slight odour to the liquid, somewhat plastic/chemical, but if you buy 20ml of fragrance fluid and mix it with 5l of fog fluid, it smells fairly pleasant. We went with coconut.I'd advise against running the unit for too long, as it does get quite hot after a while (of course), there are warnings to that effect- just avoid touching it until it's cooled down. If you do run it too much, it is liable to overheat, and it may well break.The fog itself depends on which strength you buy- I only have experience with medium, but this was sufficient for our, and most I can imagine, needs. It doesn't choke you, or make you cough, as it is essentially the same substance as a vape. There is no sticky film or residue left on furniture either, so that's a plus.All in all, a good purchase, which provides entertainment for house parties, or just relaxing with some fun visuals. I imagine it would work well for theatre performances and such, especially as Halloween comes around.

In our Studio we have every studio light going but the one thing missing was a fog machine, So when I found one that had integrated lighting I had to have it.As with normal smoke systems it required the misting liquid this usually costs £9.99 for 5 litres (Should last forever), the unique feature of the fog system is the tiny little remote that allows you to turn the fog on and off.To start you have to let the unit warm up for 5 minutes then you start to see small puff of smoke being emitted from front nozzle once its ready you press the remote Key and the smoke jets out until you let your finger off the button then it stops.Smoke can cover a room successfully in around 20 seconds and dependant on the brand of misting liquid it can settle for up to an hour without dispersing.Let's give this the TRUTH UNBOX lowdown :Pros:- Terrific price point.- Fast warm-up sequence.- Comes with small Remote- Very Nice Effect smoke with lighting that colours the smoke.Cons:- Have to buy liquid which really isn't a big thing all machines this is not included.So to conclude if you want an excellent lighting a smoke effect all In one then this is your guy. An amazing effect very effective.

I bought this as we had my grandsons birthday party coming up. As usual we had all the balloons, decorations, food and drinks. To save a little money, a friend was doing the music and lights so I thought this would add a little pizzazz the proceedings. It went down a bomb with the kids, they loved it. It produces a heavy fog if you press the remote for around 6 or 7 seconds. The lights on the front give it a bit of a disco feel and would work great in a darker room than we had.My next step is using it when I pull out the BBQ in the summer months. Bit of a show stopper I think. I doesn't come with any fog liquid so make sure you buy some. Maybe a small tester in the pack would be a bonus. I chose to buy heavy fog liquid and it worked great. Just make sure you give it some warm up time as instructed.

Yep, like this a lot.Easy to use, responds well to the remote control.We bought the QTX High Quality Fog Fluid/Smoke Fluid To go with it and the fog is good quality and lasts wellThe unit does get quite hot, but there are warnings about this in the instructions

The media could not be loaded.  At home, we like to make some fun family parties and for that, we use some colorful moving disco lights, lasers and we play some funky music. ...we were only missing the fog! That is, until now!And oh boy did we just raise the bar in terms of best home-party atmosphere!We also use it in the bathroom where we have a 1m x 2m huge bathtub where we play ship battles (watch the video). ...again, great atmosphere thanks to this machine!The fog machine was super easy and quick to set up.It's a challenge not to go overboard with the release of the fog because the 'puffs' of fog are so much fun! But one needs to exert some restraint because with only a couple of puffs you get to fill with dense and even fog a whole apartment. Also, the fog lingers for a surprisingly long time (I guess it also depends on the type of fog juice you use).Overall, I am really happy with this purchase.On the to-do list is to implement one of the many tutorials that one can find online for doing ground-level fog.Can't wait for Halloween!
