Amazing Pen
I own several fountain pens, most of which cost much more than this one. However, this pen is the one I like to write with the most. It writes with exceptional smoothness and never skips. Many would say that the cap should not be posted on this pen, but I find it comfortable to use both posted and unposted. The clip on this pen is not stiff and perfect for attaching it anywhere you wish. If there is one thing I do not like about this pen, it is that the snap cap can take a lot of force to remove, but at least it is secure. If you are looking for your first fountain pen, I recommend skipping the less expensive pens and going for this one, especially if it is on sale. You will not be disappointed with the writing experience or the durability.

Good for everyday use "not cheap" fountain pen
I have a Farber-Castel fountain pen, Grip 2010 and I like the nib, so I'd like to another Farber-Castel, and I choose this one, because the review are good. Now, I love this one for everyday use.The nibs are totally different like ambition has fluently ink flow, compair with Grip; it has more scratches and I can write as pencils. But still I like both. The pen body looks like wood, but not.

Best quality for value!
I’m a young physician and I always get great comments from older physicians on my choice of using a fountain pen. I’ve tried super cheap ones up to ones that cost thousands and honestly this pen is one of the smoothest I’ve used. It’s absolutely perfect as an everyday work pen that still looks good but you don’t have to worry about it costing an arm if you leave it at work!

Not recommended
I really wanted to like this pen, but it turned out to be a real disappointment. Review on the web abound, so I will point out the pros and cons.Pros:- Styling. The pen *looks* good. The section and the cap are made of chromed steel. The pen is rather heavy, which is pleasant in the hand, when you do not write. The body is made of a black resin with a matte finish; this material is pleasant to the touch as well. The clip has a nice spring.- Nib. The steel nib is definitely not a Bock, and consensus is that it's manufactured by Jowo. I have a few F-C. They all feature the same steel nib, without a breather hole and with a regular dot pattern. They all write identically; a testament to the good quality control of the nib manufacturer. Most importantly, they are all extremely smooth and reliable. They write on the wet side. Do not expect any line variation.Cons:- Ergonomics. The section is too short and gets in the way with that discrete step from the body. The cap is extremely heavy, so you can't use the pen posted.- Engineering design. The body internal diameter is too small for converters. I have read that this has been remedied in recent batches, but I bought my pen from Amazon only three months ago, so this is a risk you will run. Moreover, the section thread is metallic, makes only a few turns, and is generally loose, all of which mean that the pen cannot be used as an eyedropper. You can only use the pen with F-C cartridges, which you may refill with your favorite ink... good luck.Summing up: if you use this pen for any extended period of time, you'll realize that it is deeply flawed by design. Faber-Castell pens are hit-or-miss. Since the nib is the same across all models (not on the Graf von Faber-Castell though), I strongly recommend the Loom model, possibly chromed. It writes very well, it has great ergonomics, it is functional, and it looks good. If you are not into very fancy looks or italic/stub nibs, it may be the only pen you'll ever need. Don't get a Basic (also very flawed, and cheap-feeling), nor an Ondoro (it's ugly). I have never tried the e-Motion.

High quality fountain pen that is expensive
I purchased the M nib, which is not yet released in Japan. The ink flow is abundant from the first writing.Although the font is thicker than that of Japanese fountain pens, you can enjoy smooth writing.A simple and elegant design that makes use of the best materials. The high-quality silver-plated cap is engraved with the Faber-Castell logo. The cap is heavy, and when the cap post is placed, the center of gravity is high and the balance is poor. You may have different preferences for the position where the nib section is short. The resin body shaft is engraved with woodgrain lines and takes a lot of time to process, making it very stylish. It is a simple and timeless fountain pen, so it is recommended as an entry model for Ambition.

Simple & elegant fountain pen
Great value. I love the way it writes. It is pretty smooth for a steel nib. Great for every day use.My only gripe is that they sent me a fine nib (even though the listing shows a medium nib). But like most faber castell pens even a fine writes more like a medium.

Ok
It writes well and the design is good so it is not slippery. My nib leaks ink on top. I contacted customer service and they said they will charge $25 if I want a replacement nib only since The third party seller I selected was not an authorized dealer. There are a two but who would ever know.
