Attractive
Okay, I like that it is attractive. Not like the ugly fly tape thing. Unfortunately, if you want to attract the gnats, flies, fruit flies, etc. you need to put something sweet on it. It works a little faster that way.But it still works okay without that. The look of them is the best feature. I will continue to buy them.

The Best
I never thought I would leave a review of a fly trap. How could anyone be that enthused? Having said that, during each summer I buy tons of fly traps because the flies torment my chickens. I received two sticky traps on the same day. This one and another that is about 3 times the size. Within an hour this one was black from all the flies on it. The other had snagged 3 flies. I thought maybe there was something in the location so I turned them around, same thing. I don't know why they were so much more attracted to this one, but they were. I wouldn't consider buying another one ever again unless they make one exactly like this one, but bigger. On a side note, a few days later this fell off the roof of the chicken coop. the chickens attacked it and ate all the flies off of it. It continued to attract more flies which they would again eat until the whole thing was covered in fly wings. I know its gross, but you can't say it wasn't effective. I'm impressed and I'll buy more next summer.

I honestly CANNOT recommend this product.
I don’t know which I hate more, flies or mosquitos. Yes, mosquitos bite. I spent 15 years living in Thailand, and let me tell you, they have MORE than their share of them, but since I spent most of my time indoors, for the most part, I wasn’t bothered by them. My screens kept them out, Flies on the other hand were always quick to zip through a door, no matter how quickly you opened and close it. It’s AMAZING how much torment a single f***ing fly can inflict! These stupid insects simply will not leave you alone! Now I’m back in the USA and am STILL plagued by them. I am very careful about disposing of trash. I don’t just throw food scraps into my garbage can. I first put them up into small bags. If what I’m disposing of is particularly stinky, I may double or even TRIPLE bag everything up. My apartment’s garbage can are outside, two flights of stairs above me. I have a seriously bad heart, so disposing of garbage isn’t much fun, but hey, I just have to deal with it. Anyway, the area where the garbage can is has become a haven for flies. I mean this area is downright NASTY ☹ the maintenance man has put up fly strips, which when covered with hundreds of flies is BEYOND nasty! Even though I’ve done my best to quickly enter and exit my apartment, a few flies always manage to follow me through my door! Once inside, they then proceed to make my life a living hell! They continually swarm all over me and no amount of swishing and swatting keep these things off of me. Even as I write this, one of these creatures is all over me! Naturally, I turned to Amazon to look for a solution. I didn’t want fly strips, so after looking through what was available. That’s when I decided to try a RESCUE! Non-Toxic TrapStik for Flies – Indoor Hanging Fly Trap. After unboxing this device, I carefully read the instructions, and hung it where the flies were congregating… next to my front door, next to my sunny bay window. This thing as been hanging for a week now. Guess how many flies this thing has caught. Would you believe ZERO? Not ONE stinking fly!!! These things are deliberately avoiding their doom deliberately while continuing to torment me!!! I still refuse to use a poisonous insect spray inside my apartment, and so the war between man and beast continues. All I can tell you is to NOT buy one of these, as they are utterly USELESS!!! I don’t often have a failed product from Amazon, but this is a rare case of one, ☹

Love it
It worked SUBLIMELY outside!! It's been on a table on the front deck for less than 24 hours in his literally caughthundreds of flies. It's nearly coded. I set it out here because I'm on the deck a lot and I get swarmed by flies continuously. It seriously caught more flies on our deck then my homemade smelly trap did, which means now I can ditch this stinky thing lol.I'm in progress of ordering the large outdoors one, since this one has nearly no room in the inn.the only reason I gave it four stars is because it didn't work as well as I had hoped indoors. We have just a few pesky flies inside oh, not by any stretch an infestation. We've caught one fly.I suppose if you had more than a half-dozen flies inside, this would probably be more effective. It is kind of just whatever happens into it, as there is no attractant. I'm definitely not going to be putting smelly stuff on the one indoors just to catch a few little flies. But it is good to know that that one fly is no longer fly in the ointment. The other good thing is, it's not a flipping eyesore. Fly tapes are easily noted as being such. Smelly fly traps are just that, they're smelly. and most of the things you would use, like the bags are definitely detectable to the eye as one walks past, let us say.Is it a designer product? No. Is it way more attractive than a nasty bags fly trap hanging off of your gutters? Yes. All of my neighbors are now ordering the outdoor one after seeing how much success we had with our 1 little indoor one. For whatever reason, we have not caught any Bees, either. I don't know if it's only set up so that flies are attracted to those particular colors, and Bees not as much, but I am very pleased that I have not caught any bees. Not exactly a tree hugger, as I was willing to sacrifice a couple of bees to be rid of the fly issue, but I definitely don't want to intentionally cause them harm. I've also not caught any butterflies - which is a big bonus for me as well. I don't know if it just hasn't been out long enough, or if it's the fact that I have it in a shady area that has kept the bees and butterflies out of it.so, if you're wanting something for the outdoors, I would definitely go with the bigger outdoors trap. I can see this working really well for a space where you were going to have a barbecue or a lunch, or just have a bunch of people over. We have five extra large or giant breed dogs, and the dogs haven't been overly attracted to it like they are with smelly baits. I would definitely hang it up higher than what your dog is able to reach if you're going to use it where pets will be out, as it is extremely sticky. But we've had no issues that way.
