GOOD BOOK. IT TELLS ALL ABOUT HOW TO DEAL WITH DISCUS FISH.

Very informative but grammatical errors and sentence construction mistakes make smooth reading difficult. Parts of the book show their age when combined with newer passages.

This book is outdated and has nothing you can't find online. Has very little on PH and other water parameters that will kill your fish if not right.

I would say that the author could have used more recent photos of the fish ( and colored of course) or maybe next time we could be seeing names of different strain, not that much disappointing though, although I was expecting a textbook like format rather a narrative events of past experience. 3 stars for me.

Information is dated. As an example: Grow Lux lights are recommended. This is archaic technology. No mention of LED lighting.This example is typical of the un-updated information available in this book.

Not sure what the author was thinking: Binding together pages of disorganized, useless and outdated information don't make something 'a book'.

My hopes for this book being a sensible, well-written book to get me started on having discus fish are totally dashed.Editing: The lack of correct punctuation, grammar, and use of caps made it pretty much worthless for my needs. I can't read a book with any kind of concentration given those problems. I'm going to trash it; even if social distancing wasn't in effect, I could not in good conscious give it away.I couldn't help but notice that the author has other interests that he's published about, and is even a musician. How can you give your all to a subject when it's competing with several others?Sorry waste of time and money!

Este livro descreve de forma rápida os passos para a criação dos discos. Me ajudou muito na explicação do boom de bactérias que acontece no aquário às vezes e que fazem os discos perderem o apetite. O tratamento pode ser feito com um pouco, mas um pouco mesmo de água clorada da torneira nas TPAs. Vale lembrar que o cloro é prejudicial aos peixes trazendo asfixia e queimadura nas brânquias, mas se for administrado em doses baixíssimas pode ajudar no controle do boom de bactérias e na prevenção e cura de doenças.

Very basic information which is freely available on the internet. Actual content is 1/3rd of overall pages in this book.

very informative and well illustrated .

Gives a descent history and describes the ancient methods of the trade, some of which are still valid. Certainly worth while reading as it shows the baby steps towards successful breeding/keeping of Discus.

Easy to read, and helpful as just starting with these fish, very informative, would use again
