SCHMETZ Self-Threading Universal Machine Needles Size 14/90 Package of 5

I love these self, threading, sewing, machine, needles. I have been looking for them for about three, years and couldn't find them anywyere. You can buy Schmetz, handsewing and hand, sewing, self, threading, needles just about anywhere but, the self, threading, sewing, machine, needles seemed to be gone with the Wind. I checked with all kinds of sewing, and craft, websites and craft and fabric, stores here and no one had any and some said, that they didn't know that there was such a thing. These needles make sewing much easier because when you are a Senior and you don't see as well as you used to it is hard to thread, sewing, machine, needles let alone any needle these work almost instantly. The first, package of these self, threading, sewing, machine, needles I orderd from a sewing and craft, supply, catalog with the company being back east. I got them about three, years, ago and I wanted another package but, they don't sell them anymore and apparently neither does anyone else. Lo' and behold there they were on Amazon all bright, and shiny in all their, glory and at a reasonable price waiting for me to order them and I did.

These needles are so good! I still can't see the needle hole or even the little slot but if you run the thread up and down the needle, the thread goes into the slot and voila, the needle is threaded. I looked for these kind of needles in a major fabric store and couldn't find them. I am so glad I learned that there were such things as self-threading needles. I am buying some hand needles next with the slots so I can be faster and less frustrated.

Not useful at all. Unfortunately us people with low vision can't use self threading needles for sewing with a machine because the thread constantly cones out and tangles up.

I ORDERED THESE HOPING THEY WOULD WORK. WITH FAILING EYESIGHT IT WAS HARD TO THREAD THE NEEDLE BUT COULD SEE GOOD ENOUGH TO SEW. WELL, THEY WORKED GREAT. I HAVE BEEN TELLING EVERYBODY ABOUT THESE NEEDLES.I WOULD NOT BE WITHOUT THEM NOW. EVEN WHEN I GET NEW GLASSES, I WILL CONTINUE TO USE THESE NEEDLES. MAKES IT SOOOO EASY.

The quality is great. The idea is great. I was so happy I could thread a needle without glasses and a light. However, I found that my machine unloops the thread so I am unable to use. I don't think it's an issue with the needle, I think its my machine.

Love these!I'm visually impaired and they allow sewing to be a breeze!Even my normal sighted friends like them. I wish I could give a 6th star since they made my life so much easier. I don't have to ask someone else to help me anymore.

These I love. Especially for a person of my age group (76). Easy to use

This was just great. I can now thread my sewing machine.
