It's beginning to look a lot like the Holidays
Great price and very pretty. I bought 2 sets. Put one in a tree on my lanai and plan on hanging the other under the eaves. I will see how it goes with the weather conditions.Packaging was great. Lights were protected in bubble wrap inside box, all lights were working fine when I tested. The box was packed with plastic pillows so very happy with the care taken to ensure my holiday lights came to me in good condition.Edited on Dec. 5, 2016.Based on other reviewers, I moved my lights under the eaves at my ground floor condo unit to keep them out of the rain and connected the 2 sets. Very easy to do and the 2 sets together are just beautiful. I am so glad the tubes are plastic, not glass. I accidentally dropped one set about 5 feet from my ladder and the survived undamaged.

Love these lights!
I first want to start off by asking you not to be deceived by these lights. As per the other product reviews, I thought both my sets of lights were dead upon arrival as well, but that wasn't the case. They are not an instant on, they take about 15-20 seconds to warm up. You will see a red light appear on the plug when they are fully warmed up and then the show starts. Simultaneous falling at first and then transitioning to random after a minute or so.We did have 2 days of non stop rain and one set was affected because I did not have any of the connections/plugs covered. The transformer (plug end) on my blue set was full of water. Dead as could be. However, I drained the water out of the trainsformer, brought the lights in to dry out for a day or two, and now they work just fine. I would suggest covering your plugs/connections.I have a blue and a white set and they are beautiful. I will definitely buy more.

They survived three winter months in the Rocky Mountains!
The media could not be loaded. I was a little nervous about spending ~$100 (I bought four strips, and yes, I bought them right before Christmas, so they cost me more than they probably cost you!) for these lights because there were some negative reviews about them not being able to handle the outdoor weather, but I REALLY, REALLY wanted some drip lights like this, so I went ahead and bought them. Well I'm happy to say, they worked perfectly and I got tons of compliments on how they looked hanging in my trees. It's now February and I finally had a moderate day to be able to go out and take them down. They have been through multiple rain and snow storms since I put them up (I live in the Rocky Mountains), but they survived!! Check out the video I just took of them after bringing them into the house.

Light up your Christmas Decorations
I had purchased another brand of these 30cm lights and wanted to add more to our tree out front. The other brand was not available until after Christmas at the time so I purchased the OMGAI brand. These are super lights that look like icicles on a tree by day and turn into cascading light show at night (think light rolling off of an icicle). They really add a unique look to accent the rest of our outdoor Christmas decorations. The only reason that I gave them 4 stars is due to the fact that the screw in plug that allows linking multiple strings of these lights together in sequence is not compatible with the first brand that I bought so they are on their own power cord What I do like is that the OMGAI brand has a plug that only allows you to join the strings together properly, unlike the former brand. With the other brand you MUST make sure that the plug prong male ends are inserted correctly into the female ends or they will not work properly. The OMGAI lights are also just a bit Bluer than the other brand but not so much that it is very noticeable. The other brand also came with mini zip ties to use to attache the lights to your tree or to a nail if you are mounting them elsewhere. That was a nice touc. The OMGA brand does not have any zip ties included nor a convenient hook for the ties to connect to. I did manage to attach some zip ties I had at home to a small protrusion so I could mount the lights. I also took the time to wrap electrical tape around the top of the lights where the top cap attaches to the tube. This is designed to add a bit more weatherproofing. I must say that the OMGAI brand appears to be sealed a bit more then the other brand. So if you want a nice, different look in your yard for Christmas I recommend the OMGAI cascading lights. They are especially decorative when the snow is still on the tree. Not sure they look like a meteor shower but they do look like light dripping icicles. Nice effect.

Stunning outdoor lights, but further special electrical care is necessary
I first saw these kind of lights in Vietnam about 10 years ago, where they were all white, and then at the Royal Hawaiian in Honolulu, where they were all blue. If set up right they can be quite stunning; however, as a number of people have mentioned in other reviews, these are meant to be used outdoors on trees - but the plugs are indoor plugs. I looked very carefully at how they were set up in Vietnam and Hawaii and I found that electricians had simply cut off the plugs and ran spliced extension cables to wherever they had an outlet.I solved this problem - albeit inelegantly - by plugging the plugs into multi-socket extensions which I then covered with plastic to keep the rain and snow out. They work just fine in temperatures down to 30 degrees Celsius. If you are using these in countries that don't use the American - Japanese style plugs, you can buy the multi-socket extensions on Amazon for the Rain Lights plus a converter for the extension cable. The tubes are very lightweight, compared to the ones they sell in Vietnam.

Quality issues...
These lights look great BUT not worth the quality issues. I ordered 2 strings and first 3 lights on one string were not working straight out of the box. I didn't have issues returning them but the replacement I got had slightly bigger connections between the lights so I had to adapt it a little bit to make it connect to the other string that I had from the first shipment. The plug itself is not waterproof even though it's not long enough so most likely you'll have to plug it somewhere in the tree. I'm using a ziploc bag to keep it dry. Then overnight 2 more lights went out. It was raining a little bit so possibly it was due to moisture. I'm not sure how long the rest would last. I would like to buy more but it's really not worth it.
