Excellent milk replacer
High quality product. Impressed as a first time user. I have reared and cared for many orphan kittens and while I have always kept a trusty can of K*M*R in the cupboard for those just-in-case moments, this time I went searching for something better quality instead of just ordering more of the same when our current baby was almost through that emergency first can. My initial impression when opening this was that it smelled just like a really high quality protein powder intended for humans, specifically like the 'milkshake' flavor. IYKYK. It mixes up fairly well, though works best with warm water. I also find using one of those little latte frother wands really gets it blended well, but be sure to let it sit and the air release from it before giving to baby so you don't accidentally introduce a lot of gas to their belly. Our new rescue baby is just turning 4 weeks old and since she was already used to the texture and flavor of the K brand after having that for about 5 days, she initially refused this due to it simply being different. But that's a pretty typical cat thing, especially with babies, so I just mixed it half K/half Foster until she got used to it, and now she likes it straight no problem.Only trouble I have with this is that even when well mixed it does stay very slightly grainy, so it can gum up the oral syringes. Of course this can be dangerous as you don't want to accidentally shoot formula up baby's shnoz or overwhelm them and make them choke... but this is a struggle with any powdered product and I'd say this formula does mix up smoother than competitor powder. To get around the sticky syringe issue I just bought a big box of oral syringes and use each one only 2-3 times vs over and over. Slightly more wasteful but it's only for a few weeks, and it's most important that baby gets the best nutrition and doesn't accidentally inhale the formula. Aspiration pneumonia is no joke.Hope this review helps anyone considering this product. Happy kitten rearing!

Improved abandoned kitten's health, weight, and development!! Highly recommend!!
There was a small, scrawny kitten at my apartment complex. The kitten kept mewing and rolling around, looking all cute and friendly. Every time I walked towards it, it would walk away -- just staying out of arm's reach. When I walked away from the kitten, it would cry out loudly and desperately. If I stayed still, the kitten would calm down, start purring, and walk/roll around me while remaining out of arms length. (It seemed both scared of humans and comforted by human presence at the same time. I got the impression that it used to be someone's pet and had been abandoned.) The kitten still had blue eyes and seemed only a few weeks old -- a month at the most. The kitten's fur was greasy (car grease?) and dull. After reading many, many reviews of many, many milk replacement formulas, I bought Breeders Edge Foster Care Feline and some cat food in hopes of reviving the little fellow and giving him a chance at having a happy, healthy life.Fast forward a couple weeks. The kitten is HUGE compared to the size he was when I first found him - 4 times larger, if not more! Massive growth. He is no longer scrawny, nor is he fat. His body is well defined and is developing muscle mass. The kitten's fur is soft and has a sheen to it. His eyes are now green. He has much more energy. He is constantly trying to get inside my apartment. (Oh, how I wish the landlord would allow us to keep him as an indoor pet!) The kitten has started the typical 5-8 week old behaviors - pouncing, exploring, hunting bugs and lizards, etc. He is super playful! No diarrhea, gas, or indigestion to speak of.Even though the kitten is well past the weaning stage, I intend to continue to give him Breeders Edge Foster Care Feline as a supplement until he is grown. With his past being what it is, I figure the extra nutrition will do him a lot of good.

🐾 🍼🐈 "PAWSOME!!!" 🐾
🍼🐈This is a "pawsome" kitten milk replacer: it blends easily, & is a good value (it may seem expensive, but you use less than other brands, & it's high quality, thus better for the kittens' health & development). It was recommended by our Vet & the rescue group we work with. Plus, the kittens love it!🐱 📦🔜📬 As promised, this item was delivered on time. VERY important, when you have hungry rescue kittens that need their bottles! Living in a rural area it's often difficult to find supplies. I'm pleased (& relieved) that this company not only had the product I needed at a reasonable price, they fulfilled my order quickly. Two paws up! 🐾

Fixes stinky, constipated kittens!!
A friend found an hours-old single kitten under her car. After hours of waiting, it seemed the poor guy was, indeed, abandoned and I ended up agreeing to give caring for him a shot. I’d never even seen a kitten so small, let alone cared for one. We started with the common formula sold at the local big-box pet store nearby. The kitten gained weight just fine on the store-bought formula, but I noticed pooping seemed to be an unpleasant experience for him. He’d squeal and squirm. After a few days, the kitten also developed a strong, fishy odor that permeated the room. It was bad. We bathed, changed blankets, cleaned his box, consulted a vet, everything. Repeatedly. The vet didn’t know what was up. Luckily, I know an experienced kitten rescuer who suggested we switch to Breeder’s Edge Formula. The little guy took to it with no problem and the smell was completely gone within 24 hours!!! His poop completely changed too. It went from hard and dark to more like breastfed baby poopand he didn’t seem nearly as bothered doing it. We’re still using this formula at nearly 4 weeks old and I’m about to order another container. I don’t know what about the other formula makes some kittens stink, but I’ve seen it mentioned by others online. Breeder’s Edge is absolutely worth the few extra bucks and effort to order online!!
