Lightweight, fast and cheap - perfect for gamers that want to reduce wire clutters
Been using this for over 4 years now, it really is a faultless gaming mouse. The responses are rapid and there is never any delays. It is very lightweight for a wireless mouse too and has a great ergonomic feel due to its compact size. It offers fantastic stability and has a great minimalist design too. I've always been a fan of Logitech so I may be a bit biased but if this one fails on me I will absolutely buy another one.

Excellent wireless mouse for the price, get on sale if you can
Bought the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED Wireless mouse for my brother and it’s been fantastic. The wireless connection is reliable with very low latency, and the mouse feels comfortable for long use. Buttons are responsive, and the overall build quality is solid. Pros: • Reliable wireless performance • Low latency • Comfortable to use • Solid build quality Cons: • Nothing major to complain about Overall, a great wireless mouse that performs very well and is good value for money.

Good price, good quality fast delivery
I bought this for my son who games every day for hours and end. Mouses don’t last very long with him as he even wears them out or they get a broken or thrown across the room. The price was good, but this one hasn’t lasted as long as the last one and he’s on another one already. The build quality seems quite good and it’s very responsive.

Another great wireless mouse from Logitech that will turn anyone still mired by the wireless stigma
There's plenty to like about the G305, and most people who should be thinking of purchasing it already know what it offers: Logitech's in-house Hero sensor; a long battery life due to both the Hero sensor's low power draw and the higher-capacity removable batteries the G305 uses; and the general shape. Anybody familiar with the Logitech G203 or the G Pro mouse will already know whether they will enjoy this mouse, as the G305 is essentially a wireless remake of those two mouses (minus the RGB lighting, and a slightly different button below the scroll wheel, in addition to the buttons having slightly different switches). However - despite offering a great sensor and a familiar shape many enjoy - the G305 is not perfect. Logitech's Hero sensor, while great, is not the PWM3366 sensor, the top-of-the-line, inarguably best sensor on the market, which is found in Logitech's most high-end mouses, such as the G900 and G903, the G403 (both wired and wireless), and the G502. Due to the differing sensors, the feeling and DPI has to be adjusted when going (for example, from the wireless G403 to the G305 in my case) from one mouse to the other, though tracking overall is perfect with both. The great first impression (barring a difference in feeling that can be overcome with some tinkering with settings) from the G305, however, can be deceiving. A few days after getting the G305, I suffered an odd occurrence, wherein the mouse cursor - while playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive - would start wobbling in the centre of the screen any time the mouse was lifted off the mouse pad. Additionally, for the few hours preceding this, the G305 would sometimes randomly spin out while I was aiming around with it. Surprisingly, however, taking out the battery and re-connecting the wireless receiver has fixed this issue for me, and since that day a few weeks ago, I have not suffered from spin-outs or any cursor wobbling. Due to the unreplicable (and thus far unrepeated) nature of the incident, I am not sure what to blame - or if it is even fair to deduct points for this - but it is something to keep in mind. Similar products that I have used before the G305 - which include the wireless G403, the G900 and the G502 (which are all mouses that use the PWM3366 sensor) - have never suffered from spin-outs even once, though this might have just been my luck. The scroll wheel has been great in my experience, and has a nice, squared shape, as opposed to the round scroll wheels that some mouses have. The wheel also has a pretty rough surface, with big, bold lines cut into the rubber to give it a nice, grippy feel. The only thing really missing from the scroll wheel is Logitech's hyper-scrolling mode, which would have been a nice addition to have. The software experience on the G305 is par for the course for a Logitech mouse. Customization is done through Logitech's Gaming Software program, which includes a Hi and Lo performance mode (going from 250 hours of usage up to months of usage without having to switch batteries), five different DPI level profiles that can be set, polling rate, custom binds for all of the buttons, the ability to switch between on-board memory and Automatic Game Detection, and various other functions that Logitech provides (including a heat map, binding keystrokes etc.). The experience, however, is not perfect. Other Logitech mouses (that use the PWM3366) give the user some extra features that are missing from the G305, most notably the ability to switch between "profiles", which let a user switch between modes where each "mode" has completely different bindings for all the buttons. On the G305, the only similar feature is limited to switching DPI levels. All in all, the G305 has presented some weird, infrequent issues that anybody might run into, but when it works, it works amazingly. For somebody looking for a light-weight (below 90g) wireless mouse that's on par with wired mouses, there really is no other option on the market right now, without having to do hardware modding (which carries with it its own risks and extra effort), as other wireless mouses are either heavy or have imperfect wireless technology (though I want to stress this is not the case with Logitech's wireless mouses). The only reasons not to get the G305 would perhaps include the fact that it is a small mouse with a very small hump, and anybody with big hands and/or a grip that isn't well-suited to small mice (such as a palm grip) might feel cramped with the G305. In addition, the mouse has kind of a lacklustre selection of buttons, with only the standard left and right clicks, a scroll wheel (which is clickable), a button below the scroll wheel, and two side buttons. Whether this is an issue is up to the individual user, but it is mostly meant to be used as a cursor moving device, not to double as a media controller. For anybody who desires a similar product with more options in regards to buttons, the Logitech G900 or the G903 might be more suitable. All in all, the G305 is terrific value. It is one of the cheapest ways to go wireless, with a sensor and wireless technology that will not make you miss wired mouses. Couple this with a great battery life that will take a minimum of weeks before it even bothers you about the battery getting low, and Logitech have a real winner on their hands. Fans of the G Pro should instantly jump on this with no regrets, and everybody else really only needs to make sure they like the shape, as everything else Logitech has packaged into this mouse is borderline perfect, as far as its function as a wireless mouse is concerned.

Very good cheaper wireless mouse.
So I've bought this mouse a few times, writing a review now after swapping to the Pro because I'm looking at mice for my girlfriend. Trust this is one of the best mice on the market, its a light mouse a little heavier than the normal version because of the battery but its still very light. I had the 503 before I went for this and that mouse was good but not great for FPS games, the glide wasn't as smooth because of the weight. I highly advise the 305 i have only bought it a few times because I'm a heavy duty gamer, I go to work.. i get home and i game. On my days off I game. I get in a good 5-10 hours of gaming a day and i am highly competitive. I play at a high level on most games i play so there is a lot of vigorous movements. I played alot of Apex Legends and Overwatch on this mouse.. So it was the shoot button (left click) that mostly wore down. Honestly there isnt much difference to this and the G Pro except this one requires a AA battery and the Pro i can just charge at my desk while i use it. I got the pro on sale so it wasnt much more expensive than this at full price. Please if you are looking for a more budget mouse get this one.. It is probably the best mouse I've purchased. One AA battery lasts a long time even on extensive use one battery would last me a few weeks and it only takes one battery. The only mouse i dont advise is the 903.. its reaaaally good but weak. That mouse only lasted me a few months and that was expensive even on sale. Left click just stopped working entirely. The 903 breaking really fast is what got me to go with this mouse and realise how good this mouse truly is.

When it is on sale for £25 odd or less...
...one cannot get away from the fact that this is one of the best value gaming mice out there. The quality of the buttons and the wheel is just amazing. The shape is known quantity and the sensor and the wireless subsystem perform top notch. Also, I am one of those who prefer just to swap a rechargeable battery when needed, as opposed to charging regularly. For the most balanced feel, use the AAA to AA adapter. It is really a noticeable upgrade and the mouse stops feeling little bit rear heavy.

A trusty companion.
I've been using the G305 for years and for the price, I don't think there's a better wireless mouse with such consistently good quality. I've owned several and all have been built sturdy, had great connectivity, low latency and changing the DPI and binding the additional buttons is incredibly easy. I like the weight the battery gives the mouse and it feels great in my hands, especially with the slightly matte finish that makes it feel premium.

Brilliant Mouse
Ideal Mouse for a first time wireless buyer. Having a cluttered desk I decided to spend the time looking out for what mouse gives the most value for money as with anything and this was essentially number 1 on the list. Sleek black colour with the simple "Logitech G" logo in the middle that lights up makes it look sleek and simple without sacrificing design integrity or feel. The function buttons on the left hand side of the mouse are great as Macro options if you use them for either work or gaming as they can easily be bound to whatever you need them for, and the mouse DPI is easily set by the middle button under the scroll wheel if you want an already preset DPI, although you can specify any of these 4 DPI options if you need to tailor your choices in the Logitech G-HUB which I would recommend. The feel is great and for being what I would call a slightly "smaller" mouse it doesn't feel that way after one or two uses and does 100% feel lighter than you'd expect, the grip feels great especially on a large table mouse mat. All in all, the best mouse I've bought for a setup so far, especially if you don't want to spend a fortune but want quality,

Left click died in 1 week
I bought this mouse after waiting 12 days for delivery. Just after 1 week if use the left click died. Very strange to see big brands like Logitech delivering such poor quality products. Luckily this happened under the return window so i have initiated a refund.

Absolutely the Best Value
This is an excellent mouse. It's fantastic for every day use, and I am extremely confident it would do an excellent job of whatever you need it for, whether that be gaming, work, or leisure. I purchased this at 30 euros, and I think the value is fantastic at that price. It is powered with a AA battery, and Logitech made the very admirable decision to include a Duracell battery with the package, which I didn't expect (It's 2026 after all) but very much appreciated. Unless you have a giant hand, or if you're competing in e-sports professionally, this mouse will probably carry you for everything you need. I love it.

Perfect
The mouse is so amazing. Love it. I am the owner of g903 - the mouse which is top of the line and 4 times more expensive than 305. Unfortunately after 1year the infamous double clicking failure started so mouse became unusable( 305 is almost the same in experience and now I see it was a big mistake to go for a more expensive one. Mouse is equally light and comfy in hand. Connection is perfectly stable. Logitech software is working in the same way and helps to customize mouse behavior/ settings/ buttons/ macros etc. in the same way. Have no doubts. This is the mouse you are looking for. Perfect value for this price.
