Works great, takes out metallic smell and taste
The media could not be loaded. I had a metallic smell and slight metallic taste to my water, this filter fixed this issue. Water tastes great and the metallic smell is gone. The water pressure is still great, unchanged. I added a 1/4 turn (pipe thread)valve 1/2in inlet, 3/8 outlet and 2 standard 3/8 water supply lines (dishwasher line) to it from my main supply so I can swap out the filter easily once the Time to service it comes around. I also used a 1/2in to 3/8 brass reducer adapters to hook the water supply line to the additional valve I added to feed the inlet to the filter (see video)

Do not buy. Cheaply made. Leaks.
The hose lines with tank leak. Connections made of cheap plastic. Leaked and damaged my cabinet bottom. When tried to return the product this company refused although because they made cheap line attachments and its a defect. Told me I would have to pay shipping to exchange. Almost 200.00 down the drain.

Easy to install
We used the Star Under Sink Filter in our home in Oklahoma. We really like how it worked. When we moved to Texas we bought one for our home here and are glad we did. Easy to install and great price.

Great water, no replacement parts.
I have owned this for 3 years. The water quality from it is excellent. Each change of filtering material has lasted 12-15 months. I had a problem with the outlet water hose popping out after we changed the filtering material. It leaked after we had to turn off the water supply for the whole house for a repair and when water pressure was re-established thereafter. We stuck everything back together and it was fine. That was last year. This year it is leaking at the manifold and has flooded the sink base cabinet three times. I contacted that company for a replacement manifold and was told that replacements for that part are not offered. Too bad. That equals a lost customer. The tank is in great shape and I would have preferred to keep it with a manifold replacement. I cannot tolerate flooding and damage to my expensive kitchen cabinets and the cost of complete replacement has gone up considerably from when I first purchased the Star unit. Now I am looking for a new water filter with no burst lines.

Installed easily under the kitchen sink
Arrived early, packaged by the manufacturer. Installed easily under the kitchen sink. Purifies our well water and through kitchen cold water system and finally able to drink, make ice, and make tea with good tasting and clear water. We will have to change the charcoal filter every 3 years, but it is worth it. Thank you.

Filter developed pin hole leaks just inside where the hoses connect. Need a new top of filter.
This is my second filter. I developed a pinhole leak in my old one but it lasted about 5 years. You can order new charcoal so after a year or so you can dump the old and put new charcoal in it found on amazon. I don't like the small filters although easy to change they don't last and are much more expensive over time. I highly recommend the Star Water Filter System.Bad Bad: In under three years this filter has pin hole leaks on both In and Out but not at the connectors so I can't repair it. I cannot find how to contact company for warranty. There are no directions. Not Happy!

I was very happy to find this water filter through you
I was very happy to find this water filter through you. It was time for my replacement and I had a difficult time finding -- but you did not. Thank you for my favorite and the best water filter ever.

Very easy to install
Very easy to install. This is just what I wanted. You will not have to change the filter every 3-6 months like the small ones at a cost of $40 - $50. Change this one once in 3 years. Do the math big savings.
