Hutzler Pepper Saver, Green

I have been buying these veggie savers to reduce my use of zip top bags. This pepper saver works great. The plastic is very high quality, and I have washed it several times in the dishwasher with no issues at all. It must be pretty air-tight, because my cut peppers last a long time when I put them in the saver - 4 days at a minimum. It's really big too - I tested it out, and it holds an entire pepper that hasn't been cut yet. Great buy!

Keeps green pepper for amazing length of time

I recently decided to purchase a ton of the Hutzler food saver products after living with my in-laws for a short time (waiting for our house to be built) and seeing their collection in action. It is unreal how well these things preserve vegetables! I had previously just thrown my peppers in a sandwich bag and called it a day, only to find a gross mushy mess in my vegetable drawer a week later. In the event that I did get to it before it dissolved into a gelatinous mess, the pepper would be a little off in color and slightly dried out. But not when you use these beauties. There are so many reasons to use these things!! Vegetables seem to last FOREVER! I have never seen green peppers last as long as they do in these. They stay crisp and fresh for what seems like eternity (I'm sure they don't, but haven't experienced it yet). I don't know what wacky science is behind it, but it works. Also, they are great for those who like visual organization. Instead of trying to sort through plastic bags in your veggie drawer to find what you need, it's right there staring at you in a beautiful and inviting container.And no, I have no affiliation with Hutzler, no one is paying me, and I didn't get these for free. I just love them that much!

HATE GREEN PEPPER CURE? Yogurt Wasted No More, These Left Empty Sitting Around to Tease, And saving Green Pepper is now for sure.I hate saving those small yogurt cups half eatin' or even a quarter eatin', it's such a waste cause it goes bad soon, but slip it in one of these and you can have that same yogurt in the same cup for a week, so take your time.When you put the green pepper in here whole, it may fit and may not you'll see how big it is for your green peppers, but you can also store half, or slice up the rest and keep them in here. Looks wonderful for guests and yourself late at night with the late movies.I dropped the Yogurt cup into here, and then I dropped it by accident while placing it in the fridge (not standing alone but in a caddy holder the yogurts are in, with chocolate pudding), after checking to see if the yogurt dripped out and how much, I saw nothing became open, nothing dripped out, and when I opened up the green pepper, nothing dripped inside.The week ended and at the bottom of the green pepper there was more drippings, but it's okay it tasted fresh all week with my quarter eating small Mommy bites just for taste (also stomach relief). I love this thing, just like I love the fake fruits and vegetables my Mom had in a beautiful big bowl on the TV (when there was no real ones), ahhh such memories,, anyway that's why I bought the whole bunch: the red & white onion saver, the lemon saver, the red pepper, the tomato, and the water melon.THE WATER MELON!!?? Hahahha,, Love Watermelon but just kidding but Ya when are they going to make that one? There's also a Garlic one that looks nice, but my darling prefers the garlics in this ceramic with holes in it that is also beautiful. Have fun and don't forget they make wonderful treasures for your Mom or Grand mom, but I love them also and will never be either one, so don't forget your gay friend's kitchens & enjoy.

Pepper and tomato savers work great, Love them. Onion saver not as good. The pepper saver is my favorite. Helps keep sliced pepper fresh longer. I even bought another one. The onion one is made of different material and does not open/close very easily. Wish I didn’t get it.
