Simple system. Works well.

O.K., I admit it...I'm a Ph.D. analytical chemist and if anything can be measured, I'm like a Labrador retriever and a tennis ball. I tested the strips with the OneTouch UltraMini on a test solution (to avoid variations that occur with "real' blood) and got the following values:104110111108106mean=108, RSD=2.7%. That is really, really excellent agreement! To be statistically correct, the 2.7% precision is really the sum of the error due to the strips and the error of the meter; which is even more impressive. Highly recommend.

A wonderful little meter. It is nice to keep one in my backpack just in case. But beware that is a little longer and skinner while the original meter is more compact in many respects. So space wise, while compact, I have found it just depends upon your space and how you set things up, which meter fits better in the space you would like to have it.

While the mini system kit is correct. Rating a 3 because the carry case is not as displayed. I received a semi-hard case that is bright orange and does not have the separate sections to hold the reader and lancet. I'm not sure what the carry case is used for, but it is not for this "expensive" kit.

This is an excellent glucose monitor. When checking in with my doctor, I take it with me to allow her to look through the device memory to get accurate picture of readings stored in device.I bought this second monitor to keep in my work tool bag in case of emergency need. The storage pouch is well designed , padded, durable, and can fit into shirt or jeans pocket if need be.

The included case doesn't have a belt loop. I took an older Ultra 2 case and tore out the holder for the original meter. But that case is now useful for ME to carry everything, incl. my insulin, syringes, and other meds in a small package. I can also carry it on my belt. I hate big, bulky things.

If you order the item, this seller will send you another item. I found it cheaper because I had bought the product like the one shown in the picture. They said they would send it in black because there was no color like the one I ordered. After opening the product, I was disappointed with the quality, so I tried to return it, but I had to call the customer service team because return policy told me to pay 20% restocking fee. If you want to buy this product, I recommend you to check with the seller before buying it.
