Will go many miles with good traction, with caveats
This will be my 3rd rear across two bikes. These get great mileage for a mtc tire, especially for the cost. The caveats:-Traction is good in everything except sand and mud (and wet grass). These are not knobbies, or semi-knobbies. I have ridden them on forest fire trails and rocks on a KLR650, including through streams without issue-Mileage before replacement depends on two things: #1: Keep at or above 30psi, #2, the curb weight needs to be below 500lbs. If you have a GS / Tiger or another high 500 to high 600 bike, this won't be a long term solution. You also need to ride sanely--if you are heavy on the right hand you may have issues keeping them for the long haul.

Slippy in the first breakin and later when worn to wear bars, magnificent in between.
In the beginning breakin and later, just before totally bald; be careful, a little cold or mold release will slip you as much as 6", that's a little alarming on the front. So pick a good warm sunny day on warm pavement to push them hard enough the first drives to warm them, with turning and braking, then cool them, repeat a few times. After that, don't worry about anything, these are really dependable sturdy tires, until the wear bars show up. Then, Change and repeat, there's no need to worry about these tires.

Thick tread
I ride 10K miles per year so I wear out a lot of rear tires. I was running high end Michelin dual durometer tires, I liked them, but they were pricey and didn't last that long. I took a chance on a "cheap" Kenda brand tire a while back and it lasted twice as long. So I went to buy the same Kenda tire, but of course they quit making it. So I decided to try this Shinko tire. It looks very similar to the Kenda tire, but might have even a little more tread height. When I went to these "heavier" tires, I did notice I dropped a couple miles per gallon. These "heavier" tires are also less prone for flats. I haven't put this Shinko on the bike yet, but by the looks of it I expect it to be good.

20,000 miles on a 2008 Suzuki Vstrom DL650
I am shopping around for tires, I log everything I do to my motorcycle. This tire is worth the money. I was able to get 20,000 miles and 3 years out of the tire. I drive year-round in the harshest conditions. I push my Vstrom to its limitations.

Overall A Solid Choice!
Admittedly, I have not had a long history with Shinko brand. Last year, I bought a set for my project bike (1987 Super Magna) and very impressed with the brand and the value. So, for my primary ride, a 2017 MG Stelvio, I decided to go with a set of Shinko 705s which were highly recommended at different online forums.FKA Yokohama Tires, Shinko brand seemed to have offered the best value and also pretty good for grip yet, still hold up well too. For less than the price of a brand name rear tire, like the stock Pirelli Sorpions, I got both the front and the rear tires. Can't beat that!Last but not least, I was pleasantly surprised the tire was super fresh (See first picture - Number: 3720), which means this tire was made on the 37th week of year 2020!I have not received the front tire yet but if it is similarly fresh, then Shinko got a new fan!

6000 miles on the street.
This is my rear tire on my 2004 suzuki vstrom1000. It has a hum as I drive on the street, but I still consider it a good ride, as I compromise for the use off road. It's a dual sport tire and rides like it. I like it enough that I researched blogs and videos before I bought another one. About 90 percent of those 6000 miles was on the street.

Very fast shipping. Tire is good.
I am Amazed how fast it was delivered. From the time I confirmed the purchase online, to in my hands in 26 hours. Wow.Unrelated question in evening to vendor was answered the next morning. Quick responseThis is my second rear Shinko for my 2011 Dl1000 V-Strom. I wore out the first one at 13k kms, and Iβm not slow off the starts. I light up the rear on gravel roads a lot when 2 up. More then 70% of the time I am riding 2-up and at least 6000 kms was fully loaded with top case, panniers, 2-up, multiday touring. The tire felt really good under those max load conditions. The front still looks very good still and should outlast 2 rear tires. Iβve had Michelins, Dunlops, Avons, Hideneaus, etc. In my opinion the Shinkos 705 series is just as good performer with a lower cost for my style of riding. Plus these are OK on gravel and dry hard-pack, like abandon railway lines. These are not for wet mud trails but are better than most street tires in those dreaded construction zones on a rainy day. I scrape my pegs occasionally but I would say these are at their traction limit. These are not sport bike tires but are great for everyday use, wet or dry. Very good performer. I will stick to Shinkos 705 series for my Strom.

Awsome value and performance.
After reading various reviews on these tires, I was a little apprehensive. But I decided to go for it. Boy am I glad I did! They're absolutely great for my riding demands. I ride a 650 Strom and like to push the limits(when the road allows). These tires give a very predictable yaw in the corners on gravel roads, and hook up exactly when you want them to!On the paved twisties they track true and I can bank to the edge of the tread and they remain glued to the road without a hint of slip. I also installed the matching front and together they perform perfectly. I have yet to test them in the rain but that would only be in an emergency as I ride for pleasure and only ride in fair weather anyways. As far as people griping about noise and vibration...meh, its so minimal that for me its a non issue. Especially considering their overall perforformance.

Great tire - holds up beautifully
I picked up this tire, as well as the matching front tire.. I was concerned that it would wear quickly, based on other's reviews. I had them installed and immediately did a 3,330 km trip to the coast and back. It held up great. It provides a little vibration at low speeds - but I wouldn't expect anything else. It's an on-road / off-road tire.I'd consider this tire any day.

Wears Quickly
No complaints about the performance of the tire. Was only able to get 8000km out of my last one not great for adventure touring that crosses the continent every year
