Q: Could someone explain what the description means by "3 heat/speed settings"? Does it mean that there are 3 heat AND 3 independent speed settings?

Hi Chris. It has 3 fan settings of low/med/hi. So because of the way that the Universe works, a faster fan blowing over the heating element feels like it is hotter air on the highest fan setting when in fact this is merely just a larger volume of heat displacement. For the record, I have no idea if heat displacement is even a thing - I sucked at physics. But it sounds like a good enough phrase to try and fabricate to tell you that the there is no change in the intensity of the heating coil, just the intensity of the blowing job it is performing.I suppose it is possible that the dolt that wrote the description *might* have been trying to convey that it also has 3 cool settings as well. If you depress that button in the grip area the dryer's heating element shuts off for as long as you hold the button. So, by default you would have 3 cool settings as well since you can adjust the fan speed at the same time you have the button depressed. However, it is most likely the listing writer is just a moron and should never have chosen this as a career.I hope this helped.

This hair dryer will not work with 220V. You'll need to buy a voltage converter to use for 220V. I bought this voltage converter for my suggestion: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B8YMRJL It works perfectly fine in Europe.
