Card stock material and foam backing can separate
I found the matwrial to be thinner than I expected, but it did hold well. The pieces that are designed to bend did separate. There is a diagram that illustrates assembly and the pieces are numbered; however, the numbers are miniscule. I placed the pieces on numbered sticky notes as I removed them.Despite those small issues, assembly only took me less than hour - probably close to 30 minutes. Sorry, I did not time it. I never felt overwhelmed or frustrated and ended up with a model of the white house that holds together wonderfully.

I would keep an x-acto knife close by and super glue, as I used superglue when I realized ...
Tthis is a model, not a "puzzle." Includes a tool to punch the holes out with for the tabs, use it. The main part of the house it two layers, one part has windows printed, the second layer the windows are punched out so there is some depth. The "punched out" window holes and the windows on the piece underneath did not line up at all. I had to color copy the opposite side (which I had not punched out the windows yet) and put the copy behind the top piece so the windows would appear correct. There was some tweaking to do. I would keep an x-acto knife close by and super glue, as I used superglue when I realized the tension on the pieces were going to pull apart. The foamcore is flimsy and will break on the more delicate pieces if you are not careful. The best improvement for this model, besides lining up the windows, would be to produce it on thick cardstock instead of foamcore.Bottom line: it is under $10, and made in China and the material is 1/16" foamcore, This is not professional grade by any means but it was fun to put together.

A little messy but so worth it! My child wanted a 3d version of the white house for his project and it's everything he wanted!
