Essential emergency kit for upset tummies!
Works incredibly quickly to settle sensitive digestive systems. Easy to administer with the syringe plunger and palatable enough for cats to take without fuss.

Great for little tummies
I've used Pro Kolin for years with different cats. It helps when cats have an upset tummy and runny poos. Some cats tolerate it being quirted into their mouths, others you can put onto their paws and they will lick it off. The cats I have at the moment won't tolerate me doing that so I have to mix it into their wet food. It still does the trick thank goodness !

Effective and Easy to Use. . . BUT. . .
I am lucky our cat will take most medicines if they are disguised with half a tube of Webbox mousse. This paste is greeny-grey in colour and gritty and does not look at all appetising, but our cat ate it and did not seem to mind the texture at all. My MAIN CONCERN about the safety of this medication is that this is a suspension of solid particles (kaolin) in a fluid and, in the tube that I received, these had separated out to a great extent. This meant that first dose was very gritty and then in the second dose there was more green fluid than grit - so I dialled back the measurement ring and shook the tube vigorously, for some time. The next dose that I measured out was a medium consistency, somewhere between the first dose and the second dose. [ The measurement ring, with the clearly numbered plunger, is a very good idea and makes dispensing a regular amount relatively easy to do. ] Does the paste work ? Yes it does, but if in any doubt at all : Ask A Vet for Advice

It works...if you can convince your cat to consume it
Bought this in a desperate attempt to save a costly visit to the vet after the cat had continuous stomach issues. This was actually the second brand as the first (Beaphar), went down as a yummy treat that the cat gobbled up easily - too bad it was completely ineffective. This brand is the complete opposite - it comes out in a sickly green colour, the texture is like glue and a little bit grainy - and the smell is...medicinal, to put it mildly. Unsurprisingly the cat was having none of it. It took mixing it with different treats and wet food to try and remotely mask both the taste and the smell - and even then, he barely tolerates it. If your cat is as fussy as mine, I would recommend halving the recommended dose - 2ml doesn't seem like a lot but it can easily go to waste if the cat refuses to eat it. I ended up doing 1ml twice per day. On the positive side, it really does work - no more than 3 days and it immediately had the intended effect. The 1* docked is because it was a chore and a half to get the cat to actually eat it.

Liquid poo to rock solid
Cat had the runs and I think this was due to the heat wave and me changing her treats. Runny poo for a day, vets were fully booked so I spoke to my close friend who is very good with pets. She recommended this item and it worked a treat. Poo is now solid like normal. I did mix it with her usual wet food and she scuffed it. Second time she wasn’t feeling it. But the next day she scuffed her food and the paste like normal. People saying it doesn’t work, or cats find it repulsive, all I can say is be patient and find a way to blend it with their usual meal. 10/10 and saved me a vet bill

One out of one cats said no.
This gets 3 stars because despite my cat being a greedy little thing - the likely cause of his squits being indiscriminately guzzling things he finds along his path around the neighbourhood - he absolutely did not take to this. It should have been a slam dunk. He loves licky treats. He has never met a meat paste he wasn’t instantly trying to devour. Well, until I tried this. He was absolutely not having it, and I’ve not seen him reject something so comprehensively before or since. While I did end up putting the dose in my hand and then wiping fingerfuls on his tongue to make him take it, he was not happy about the situation, and I’m allergic to soya and so ended up with a rash on my hand that precluded further attempts to administer it in the same way, since syringing it into his mouth or letting him lick it off the dispenser like a churu wasn’t going to work. So one dose only and the rest went in the bin, making this an expensive mistake. In fairness to the cat, this looked unappetising, smelled pretty grim, and had a grainy texture that I really didn’t like on my finger. Also, the oil content made it separate and have oil running out separately from the paste. I suspect the separation is what really put him off because, as I say, he is seriously motivated by food and this should have been an easy win. If you try this with your pet, I’d recommend giving it a really thorough shake before dispensing in hopes you can get over the fluid separation. I thought I had done so, but apparently not. I can’t say whether the product works. The cat had a single dose and that is insufficient to solve a diarrhoea problem: it took a few days with a different probiotic to get that under control. It didn’t have any obvious ill effects on him, so it seems safe enough if your pet is more forgiving on flavour and texture. Overall, if there hadn’t been an issue with soya that made it not especially safe for me to handle, I might have persevered and tried to mix it into things that would have masked its apparent unpleasantness. But given we were trying to treat active diarrhoea, my options there were limited because I didn’t want to further upset his stomach. Your cat may love this, but hopefully our experience will help you be prepared to find a way to make your cat’s chances of accepting it higher.
