Perfect for running pex.
I bought these because I had seen pex crimps and cutters at retail stores but they were always quite expensive and I'd heard they were expensive from others. So when I saw this combo pack for less than $20 I figured I'd take a chance. Low and behold they're really great! The cutters are nice and sharp and cut well through the pex tubing. The crimps are the real star here, the guide plates on either side of the mouth make it easy to get the crimp every time and the ratchet system means that you never have to worry if you did it right as the crimps won't disengage until the pex clamps are fully crimped down. Really great price for really good products. The only small drawback is that the crimp handles could be longer to get more leverage, but I'm certain they are the length they are to maximize getting into smaller areas to do the work.

GOOD tool for home remodel project. Good value. Came already adjusted and ready to crimp properly
I can recommend this tool for handyman projects. This was a great pair of tools for my project to expand baseboard heat into two bathrooms.I think I made about 64 crimped connections and many cuts of 3/4 heat PEX tubing. The tool was setup and ready to crimp. I tested the setting by making three crimps onto brass fittings that I could connect to a garden hose at 50+ PSI. No Leaks. The heating system runs at about 20 PSI so I was confident the tool came ready to use.I would have liked the crimp tool handles to be just two inches longer - or extendable.I think this tool worked very well and I will keep it handy for the next PEX project. The cutter was sharp and easy to use for all of my cuts.

reliable process and good product
This tool set works very well on PEX. I have used both cinching and crimping in re-plumbing my house-originally built with polybutylene water lines. I used a crimping tool on the adapters between PEX and PB where the adapter comes with crimp bands. This took place at the shower diverter valves and two lines going to outside hose taps. I used cinching everywhere else. Cinching was easier to install and remove, provided a reliable seal and was easier to get the tool on the joint as well. I had to crimp on the above adapters because there was no evidence that a cinch clamp would be acceptable at that interface. The only down side of the cinch is the protrusion on the band left by the cinching process could rub other pipes if left in contact with them and will be in the way a bit when replacing drywall since some of the joints are right at the surface of the framing. Better planning on my part could have prevented that.

Exactly what you need to cut and crimp pex, must have for RV's
I think for the money it's a good value, the cutter is sharp and cuts pex well, but not straight. You really have to cut mark your pex first and try to follow a line and not let the pex move. The actual cinch tool is great, but if you have never used one before, you have no idea how much to cinch down. It clicks as it tightens, but you don't know when enough is enough and if you are going to break the pex tube. I learned quickly that for a 1/2" pex-b, 3 clicks was not enough, 5-6 was a better no leak fit. The ratchet style was working well, but it has like a little lever you have to move to release the tool from fitting. Also, these are great for working in a wide open area, but they are terrible for use behind a toilet or behind a water heater. Basically anywhere where you need it in an RV because space is tight and the handles are like 5ft long. My next purchase will be the short handle ones that will allow me to get into tight spaces which seems like that's where I will be using it majority of the time. Eventually you will get the hang of it and learn to position the cinch part of the clamp towards the right spot to allow you to cinch it with the tool with enough room to open and close the tool. You have to fully open the tool's handles wide to allow the fitting to sit in the opening, not a fan of that design.

Works but you need large hands to operate easily.
The iCrimp PEX Clamp Cinch Tool works well feels sturdy and grips the PEX connectors easily. I was using this tool to crimp custom garden hoses for an above ground sprinkler system. The tool crimped everything easily but it can be a bit tricky to hold the hose, the clamp and start the crimp as the handles really open wide. I can't really fault the tool because I'm not really using it for what it was made for but it's not really a problem and it's still faster that the screw down clamps that always break.

Can’t say enough
The product is perfect and a great price. The red tool is very handy and I didn’t buy this because of it, but it cuts through so much stuff not just pipes. Used it for clipping through small trees and big weeds and its pretty easy.

Great value, but it requires a firm/wide grip.
Literally 1/3 price of similar clamps at a big box home center. Just as effective. That said, they still require some effort. You need a wide grip or both hands to close the clamps. Also, some pressure. I'd definitely buy a better setup if I need to use them on a regular basis. For an occasional home repair, they're perfect.

Best for the middle range
I used these tools to install a whole house water filter with 1" Pex so these comments are reflective of that use--about 30 cuts and crimps with a few errors in all. These tools work well, but are likely best used for the smaller or middle dimension tubing (3/4" or less). It barely fit for the max size of 1 " and needed both hands to open each tool and keep it open just to slide it over the tube. You really need to put the cutters on a flat surface to get a consistent and flat edge because they are so wide at maximum; for the crimp, you need to be strong enough and have a fairly large hand or you will not get it to work at all (I am 6'3' and lift weights and needed both hands to crimp the 1" tube). If you purchase this for the sizes greater than 1/2", plan on getting two thin pipes to fit over the handles to lengthen them to give it some extra leverage and if you are doing overhead, consider how you will get the extra leverage prior to starting the job. One suggestion is to put the clamp in place and get a very small squeeze on it to make it snug on the tube, then reposition the clamp to exactly where you want it and then complete the crimp process.
