Great set of straps
These are very substantial - thick - tie down straps. The hardware is heavy-duty. One end has a thick carabiner with a very wide mouth that you could probably use as a hook, if needed. The other end has two options -- a standard rubberized hook, but it also has an extension past the hook that you can loop around or through something you wouldn't want to hook directly. That is a great feature. This would be great for something like looping through motorcycle handlebars, or other things you don't want damaged. It has a friction-style tightening mechanism. Although the friction hook is strong, it isn't going to be as secure as a ratchet strap. The big advantage is that it is hard to over-tighten the strap. The two straps seem like they have plenty of length to tie down most of recreational style vehicles, like ATVs or Jet Skis, if you are using one per side.

Sturdy, Versatile Tiedowns
These double-stitched straps have sewn-in loops at both ends to accommodate most fastener applications. One end has a vinyl coated hook you can use to loop back onto the strap to secure a load that would not otherwise accommodate a hook or other fastener. The other end’s sewn-in loop can work with a variety of fasteners and comes with a 38mm snap hook. The strap cam buckle is made of 1/8” steel and reliably maintains tension to keep the load secure. Regrettably, these straps do not have a rachet mechanism built into the buckle. These are well-made 1 ½” straps that are a made for situations where you want more security than a 1” strap will provide.

Multi-Functional
I tie things down to the top of my SUV or truck when transporting. It's always a crap shoot using bungee cords, no matter how strong they are. There are some transports that using a bungee is not appropriate. These fill a great need. They are really strong with reinforced edges. The coated hooks are great for not leaving scratches on any part you are securing it to. The ties ratchet tighter with (sort-of) ease and lock into place with the gripper clasp. The width is great and definitely gives me a level of confidence when transporting equipment, kayaks, bikes, or whatever.

Very nice but dated lock mechanism.
Nice heavy gauge tie down straps. The snap is a great idea for ATV/Motorcycle tie downs, As I use soft ties on my my ties points ( to protect my bikes from any scratches) these are more that sufficient for bike tie down. However I would prefer to see snaps on both ends. As for the cam type buckles, I honesty have not seen this type of device on higher end ties down straps in over a decade. Most all have gone to some type of ratchet mechanism. Had these been ratchet type i would have given it 5 stars. To the manufacturer, give thought to losing the cam and going ratchet, also put the nice heavy clip on both ends and I think you'd have a unique selling item.

A Secure Subject
These KMX Hardware 20-TD4-BB 38mm Snap Hook Heavy Duty Tiedowns are work horses. We use them on the back of the pickup truck when driving loads of trash and junk items to the dump. These loads must be secured against heavy winds that form as we drive. These Tiedowns have no problem holding everything in place. I recommend these anywhere something needs to secured in a truck bed, a trunk or anyplace with a hole or loop for hookup. We will be using these in December when we bring home our Christmas tree. The Tiedowns seem to be made of quality material so I don't expect to see dry rot cracks anytime soon.

Nice Set
Nice set of straps. My husband really appreciated these. He used them to secure some furniture in our trailer so that it did not move around. They are quite solid. I was impressed with the stitching work on these. They seem made to last. My husband mentioned that they adjusted easily. He was talking about the things that ratchet tighter or looser. He has another set that cause him to use colorful language. These did not. So I would say these are his preference.

High quality
My step-father snagged these the minute they came in and gave them a very thorough inspection. He used to work for a furniture company, and would deliver, and he says these straps are much stronger and made much nicer than the straps that they used there. He said, however, that he would not use them with his motorcycles (he owns Harleys), and he's confused as to why these straps are listed as something for motorcycles.

tie-downs
I use straps like this for moving machinery. I've had lighter ones and heavier ones than these. They could be longer, at about 6' they may come up short in some tie-down applications. There's a sewn loop extending past the hook end which can be used to make a webbed loop when the hook won't work. The loose end opposite the carabiner has a loop too.
