It takes a minute after starting up to connect with he satellites and start showing your speed. It is off by 2mph in my vehicle. I chose this one for the large display (which I can always read the speed no matter how bright it is in the car – can’t read the other display items in the brightness but can always read the speed), as well as having a clock in the bottom right which also synch’s up satellites. Simple to change from KPH to MPH and it does retain your settings (something others do not). It does start in KPH. The cord is a good length, but you can’t put this just anywhere. It has to be able to connect to the satellites, so it must be out on the dash, can’t have it under anything. That was a negative for me since I wanted to have it on my rear view camera but that was apparently too far into the car that it couldn’t link up to the satellites in that position. Also, the minute+ to synch contributed to the 4 stars. Ithers I have tried and my cell phone app both synch very quickly. Finally, when changing speeds, it is a little sluggish to respond to the change.Overall good. Happy I bought it, will use it until it functions no more.

Bought this to put on my Harley Davidson motorcycle, installed very easy and worked great for the first 1k miles... Now I seem to be having a problem with the wire connector that plugs into the unit, it flickers on and off over every bump and will also happen when the bike vibrates the most ( my Harley vibrates ALOT...). Its definitely a connector issue that's the problem. I have the unit plugged into a usb port with on and off switch so I do not unplug it much at all, only when it goes on and off repeatedly.Overall after you adjust the accuracys it's not a bad unit to have and much much cheaper than a new speedometer for my bike. I think I'll try to email the company to see if there's a fix/solution to connection issue. If it wasn't for that, and maybe a little bit brighter while sun hits it... I would recommend this unit especially if it's not going on a Harley haha.

I can say how it performs in this review because I returned it. The description says you can use it with your car, truck, motorcycle or bicycle…which would be true if your bicycle has a 12v power supply for the USB connector. Maybe they should edit that…The device has no battery and MUST be plugged in to a USB to operate. Might be okay for a car but not for MY bicycle.

As an older driver with eye issues, I have difficulty seeing my speed while driving in very bright light. In fact I cannot see my speed in my SUV. I am able to see my mph without any difficulty in these conditions, which is why I purchased this device and it serves my specific need. The only negative so far has to do with adjusting this device (kilometers per hour (default) to mph, etc.) that requires more time than necessary. Otherwise I'm quite satisfied.

Great for night driving, helps a lot. I wish it was orange or bright white to be seen in daytime. It will still do as advertised for me

Speed is great, but other features such as the odometer and clock are hard to read in a motorcycle setting; I only got this unit for speed so that didn't matter to me. Out of the box speed reading was as far off as my Gold Wing, but unit has a calibration feature that got it spot on. I'd rate it 5 stars for speed, but only two or three stars for the other features, so I gave it a 4. I've only had it a month, so if it is still working in a year I'll update this review.

fairly easy to set up. about a one minute lag til it starts reading the speed, not a big deal. doesn't read the same as the radar sign, about 2 mph off at 25 mph. works fine on the highway. easy to read, i didn't go HUD since i drive mostly daytime. easy to set up for mph.
