Easy setup

Had to make the move to purchase this as all newer models have multiple modules that need programing and going to the dealer every time gets to be annoying, takes some time to understand all the programing concept, AC DELCO got great support as long as you got new OEM part if you tell them you got a part from a junk yard phone line will drop at a lightening speed LOL...but new is always safer and less trouble.

Box was a bit damaged due to poor packaging considering it had to come from the USA to Australia but luckily it was the cable end of the box and the MDI 2 was fine.Fired it up and firmware was updated and ran it through SPS, DPS, GlobalTIS & Tech2win and did not skip a beat. Very easy setup and hopefully it will last a long time being a genuine one and not a cheap clone that SPS Techline Connect are starting to lock accounts for people using.

That what I expected 💪🏼

I decided to go this route after reading about a competitor or two. I decided on this to reduce future hassles working on my GM stuff.The package arrived quickly, in good shape, and complete. I purchased the subscriptions I need, learned the steps to load the software and connect the interfaces. Next thing, my Volt was fixed. (Battery pack is fine, and the codes are gone, thank you) Onto my next projects.

I usually go with third party devices, but with OEM devices available on Amazon, I decided to just buy the Bosch J box this time. Could not be more pleased. MDI 2 updated its firmware fine, and drivers and control program loaded fine. Tech Line GDS 2 and SPS 2 recognize the MDI 2, and all is well!

The media could not be loaded.

I was worried this might be an fake, but it is an OEM tool.. Hooked up to laptop and the SPS2 program did an update on the firmware and we were in business.. This is compatible with all GM vehicles up to 2024.. It was a couple bucks more to buy it here, but well worth it..
