40 Principles Extended Edition- it is good book for TRIZ beginners.The book is very rich in TRIZ examples & illustrations.It servers very well as a guide to TRIZ but falls short in teaching how to utilize TRIZ techniques.40 Principles Extended Edition can be read as extension to Genrich Altshuller's "And Suddenly Inventor Appeared" But "40 Principles" should not be the first TRIZ book beginner should read.Also the book suffers from translation problems at few places.Most important utility of this book is easy to use TRIZ contradiction matrix chart

To comment more than general acclaim is beyond my pay grade.Triz is not a book.It is not a program.It is important.As comprehension of it buildsrereading it brings new insight.I may lend it out someday but not yet.

It was a informative book, but it didn't get 5 stars because it could have been written better. Difficulty in translation.

This book contains the basic information about TRIZ. With good illustrations almost anyone can use this book, not only engineers! The TRIZ system is a very good tool to find a solutions for every problem anyone may encounter.
