Very well made hat with a quilted lining inside - the faux fur is of a good quality and the fur lined ear flaps each have a ventilation hole which can be covered by the small outer ear flaps (that each have a small loop fastener). I'm glad the outer fabric is polyester (not an absorbent fabric) so is more resistant to getting soaked in the rain/snow. Simple buckle (press and release) means you can fasten the ear flaps above/around back of head or fasten under chin to keep ears warm. Bought for family member who has confirmed that the hat is super warm and keeps out the cold - highly recommended.
