I've had a Craftsman Handi Cut tool for about 15 years. I just bought another one, but it's not because my 15-year-old one wore out - not even close - it's because I bought one for my stepfather. This thing is the most versatile cutting tool you could ask for, and I've used it on everything from rope and garden hoses to trimming thin molding or pruning branches. Its cutting power is amazing, and the fact that it cuts as consistently and cleanly as it does will make this your go-to tool for any kind of cutting you need to do. This is a great gift for guys that have every tool on the planet, since this is one that seems to be below the radar of a lot of people for some reason. But once they own one, they'll be a fan for life.

works very well but I have to agree with the others not quite as well built as the previous older version which I had for about 18 years. But still does the job and great for cutting rubber hoses, sprinkler tubing, rope, duck tape and softer type materials. Also a lot cheaper then when I first bought these. Buying some for my son since very happy with it.

I needed these for work. They do their job good but I wish the jaws opened up a bit more. These are good cutters but there are better out there.

Great for cutting smaller palm fronds and unwanted shoots. Good for trimming smaller branches with a clean cut.Extra blades in handle is a nice touch. I already have one I use, so this is a Christmas gift for a friend.

I received this item and it is as advertised. It is the Craftman's handi cut tool that is MADE in USA.Seems to be very sturdy and is just what I wanted. I am planning to give it as a gift so it is importantto me that it is of great quality. I could have gotten one that was from "China" but I believe you getwhat you pay for.

Pretty disappointing. The blade does not contact the length of the cutting block completely unless you squeeze really, really hard, with both hands. There is no way to really adjust the angle of the blade to make it perfect. I chose this one over the model with the shorter blade because I thought it would be more versatile. Maybe in time, if I use it enough, the blade will cut into the plastic cutting block enough to make contact along the entire length.
