Quality river raft, easy to carry, easy to store.
This is a really nice boat. We ordered it specifically for floating down the river. We have only taken it out a couple times, so I can't truly speak for it's lasting durability yet, but it really feels like quality material that won't be tearing any time soon. Now, this boat is listed as a 4 person boat. As some have previously mentioned, this boat is much more comfortable for only two people, especially for two big men with a cooler. But with us being two average sized females, we were extremely comfortable sitting in this boat for hours, and could have easily fit one or even two more average sized people in it fairly comfortably. My favorite part about this boat is the seats. They are very comfortable, and the fact that they can either be attached to the boat itself, or removed all together is a huge plus. The little pouch it comes with is also awesome, although it would have been cool if it was a dry bag. We haven't had a problem with any water getting into the pouch yet, though. Us being two average sized females, we had no problem loading the boat up with all of our stuff, and carrying it a quarter mile down to the water. iT is slightly heavy, but once inflated we found it very easy to transport. Once in the water it was pretty easy to steer. The paddle holders are very convenient. Rowing takes a bit of practice but we got it down pretty quickly. The air pump that it comes with is nice for emergencies, but would take quite a while to fill up the whole boat. We have one of those air pumps that you hook up to your car battery and inflated this boat in under 5 minutes. The air-only-in valves make it very easy to inflate. We also love the travel case it comes with. It's surprising that this huge boat can pack down into it, and it's absolutely wonderful for storage. Overall you really get what you pay for with this boat. It's not just some cheap inflatable, but instead a really nice river raft that is very high quality in my opinion.

Best fathers day gift
What a great product & helpful company. This boat is made very well and the size is bigger than we thought. Its pretty easy to assemble, maybe a little more work to disassemble but it is worth the work. We also needed something easier for storage since we are in process of buying a home. This company was easy to work with & quick in responses for help. We will be referring our family & friends to buy. Our home town is all about fishing and lakes.

Sturdy but hard to paddle
We took this boat out as a family. It was easy to inflate, felt sturdy on the water, and had plenty of room for everyone. The material seems durable, and everything included worked as expected. Great value for family adventures. Only downside is that only one person can paddle and it can be very hard when you have the whole family in

Felt Solid
I turned this into a bass boat with a plywood base covered in thin outdoor carpeting, the Intex motor bracket, a Minn Kota 30 motor, a group 27 battery, and about $60 worth of swivel seat parts from Wally World. I forgot to get an anchor, but a stone tied to the hollow poly braid did the job for free. My wife enjoyed the inflatable seat it came with, so I only replaced the pilot position seat with the fancy stuff. Took it out for a spin on a 15 acre lake (caught 4 decent bass and a demonic sunfish) and it performed admirably --especially for its comparatively minuscule cost. With the 1/4" plywood base, it was stable enough to rescue lures from trees/brush when flipping turned ugly, and even to stand up in (if we got brave). Boat launch? Nope. Just pushed it in from the shore. With the MK 30 motor, it worked great. Anything more might be a disaster though, w/ boat flex and all that. At one point there were 15mph winds requiring full power, but for anything less than that there was no reason to burn up the battery. I got a $12 Intex electric pump after the maiden voyage because I had to deflate it during a thunderstorm, and I'm not eager to do that dance again. For twelve bucks, you can inflate and deflate at will, in no time at all from of your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. I also bought a plastic tub to store/transport it in & drilled some vent holes in the lid. I got one with wheels, but it turns out that was a waste of money since this thing is not heavy at all. Be aware: putting even a trolling motor on it in Texas means you have to register it, but the costs are lower than a "real" boat. It's tax-exempt (not sales tax--there's an *extra* tax for most boats, but not rafts). It's not very expensive at all, but it could be expensive if your negilgence earns you a citation. I didn't hinge the floor like some others here did, but it still fit in my small truck's bed. I love this kooky little thing!

Perfect for one or two grown ups
I needed a boat to place a fountain in my pond. This was the perfect investment I used a tire inflator to inflate the boat. It took a little time but it worked and the boat was comfortable and floated with no problem. Once done I let the air out and put it back k on it’s carrying case no problem very portable

To this day? This boat is under warranty with asurion! I have been ping ponged back and forth between Amazon and Asurion and neither of them will refund this defective item! Now, this product remains under warranty and claims to seat 4 people. This boat was sent to me without oars. I asked the seller to send me them and even though it is under warranty? They would not. I was ping ponged back and forth between Amazon and Asurion and no one ever sent me any oars, the seller told me they would not be sending me any, either. Granted, at the time? This is under warranty with Asurion! This year? We inflated the boat and I have video of 4 children not being able to fit in the boat whatsoever, the boat deflating, almost drowning all 4 children in it. My niece has a video of the time it was inflated to the time it deflated and almost killed all 4 children that it claims to be able to accommodate. I have screenshots with this seller, promptly denying sending me any oars, even though the boat is and was under warranty with Asurion. Now? It is time that we hand everything over to our attorney. I have still not been able to get a refund for this defective item that never remained inflated on video and almost killed 4 children that could not even fit in it. Thank God they were wearing life jackets! I have a warranty with Asurion. I bought it through Amazon. Again, after this happened? They ping ponged me back and forth each other telling me I needed to talk to the other for a refund. The seller refuses from day 1 of me receiving this boat without oars to give me a refund, as well. There is no where left to turn but to an attorney for negligence. Give me the refund for this boat! It is still under warranty! Or I will have my attorney sue Amazon, Asurion and Intel. Some one is going to give me a refund or they’re going to give me a whole lot more than that for 4 children almost losing their lives on video and for never sending me oars for the boat at all and for claiming that it seats 4 adults when 4 children cannot even fit in it.

Amazing budget boat for lakes and fishing trips!
The Intex Excursion 4 is an incredible value for anyone who wants to get out on the water without hauling a heavy hard-shell boat. It inflates quickly with the included pump, packs down easily into a trunk, and feels very stable on calm lakes. The rod holders and inflatable backrests make fishing trips super enjoyable, and there's plenty of room for gear. Highly recommend for casual lake days and fishing!
