Best GPU Ever! Best Company Ever! Happiest Customer Alive!
I bought the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0 8GB. I rate it 5 Stars! Having had it for a week now I can say it's worth every penny! Superior performance right out the box, comes with a hefty factory OC that leaves me with little desire to go any higher on the OC honestly as it performs more than I ever could of imagined. The only thing I changed right away was the fan curve using Evga's Precision X OC software because the stock curve ran her on the warmer side (30-32 Celsius idle/70-75Celsius under max load), I have her running around 19-23 Celsius Idle/45-50 Celsius under max load with the fan basically at 100% when it hits 40 Celsius. At stock, I put her through the paces running Shadow Warrior 2 on Max Settings as well as Arma 3 and Dying Light all with excellent results and amazing fps. With the card staying so cool my boost clock doesn't really drop in game, I am stoked. This 1080 by EVGA is a very powerful card out of the box. Couldn't be happier.+1 for out of the box performance. The 2 fans that sit atop the heat sink are incredibly quiet with the layout of my PC, even at 100%. Note though I do have a couple Noctua Industrial 3000 rpm's in my case though which produce more noise than your standard case fan, so honestly I hear my Noctuas over the GPU fans even when they are running at higher speeds. Just thought I'd mention this. The heat sink itself is very high quality aluminum/copper I believer, not quite sure on the materials but before I put the GPU onto my motherboard, I inspected it and was very surprised at the quality of the fans and the heat sink itself. Much better than I expected. Because this card as has an awesome heat sink/fan layout it will keep your card healthy and give it more longevity.+1 for GPU Cooling. This GPU oozes quality from the sexy looking yet sturdy back plate, the 2 dual ball barring fans, the heat sink, the impressive RGB lighting, all of it. Very high attention to detail. Evga really did their homework and it shows! I was surprised at how well this card was constructed. The card has dual BIOS with a switch built right onto the card itself that is easy to get to allowing you to do lots of things as well as should you encounter an issue with your OC you can easily get back to defaults. Real quick wanted to touch back on the RGB this card offers, they are awesome haha, the card has lights on the side and bottom that you can program to do all kinds of fun stuff using Nvidia's LED Visualizer software that syncs right up with EVGA's Precision X OC software. Lot's of fun combinations to experiment with that you can sync the lights up with your GPU tempts, fan speeds, music and more. I didn't buy it for the lighting but I didn't realize how much depth it had to it though, so I thought I'd mention it.+1 for Overall GPU Construction/Layout.Best part though seriously might not even be the card but the EVGA company itself which says a lot. 24/7 customer service with American speaking individuals, with short waiting times. If you register your card (and you should!) via their website you get priority services should you have to contact them which further expedites the process and ensures you get the best customer service as they'll have all your information in front of them already before you even speak to the representative. They're non VIP service is great too honestly and is not a necessity by any means but after registering my product and making an account, I noticed with the VIP access that the process was much more streamlined and easier on me as I didn't need a ton of information to throw around before I could ask questions. I must of contacted EVGA a hand full of times and each time I hung up feeling satisfied and happy I chose EVGA over other companies out there. Best customer service in the business. I kind of wish I purchased my motherboard through them too but now I know when I go to upgrade it! I got a PSU and a GPU for now and at least with those items I know I am taken care of should I have issues.+1 on Customer Service.Lastly, as it is least important but good to know is the quality of the packaging that the GPU was shipped in. The box was wrapped in thick clear plastic, then you have your outer box which is thin and your inner box which is thick. Opening the inner box you immediately have this nice black envelope that has all your product information, manual, and the like. I got 3 stickers, 2 large stickers and 1 metal sticker to place on your PC. Another really cool thing I got was a full sized poster! I love posters and I totally was not expecting one with this purchase and to top it off, the poster itself is totally my style, so I got it laminated and it's up on my wall haha! Under the envelope with all these goodies the card itself sits snug inside high quality black styrofoam on all sides. The card is also packaged in a thick, static free bag to prevent static damage. All the plugs (hdmi/ds/dvi) were covered with high quality rubber inserts. They didn't leave any stone un-turned, their attention to quality is everywhere with this card. From the packaging, performance, style, construction, cooling and customer service. They really made me feel like my money went to the right place and left me with zero buyers regret. The only complaint on the packaging is my GPU didn't come with the software CD, but it was no big deal to go onto Evga.com and grab the drivers and all that. I am not even sure if it's supposed to come with a CD, but I was expecting one though again, was no big deal.+1 for Packaging.A+++ Company. A+++ Customer Care. A+++ Quality GPU. A+++ Performance. Highly recommend! If you need a powerful 1080 and want it backed by amazing customer service and a stellar manufactures warranty, BUY THIS GPU! Hard to find such good companies in this day and age and it is such a wonderful feeling when you do. It was like Christmas, I was surprised numerous times with this purchase. They care as much as you do about their products and it shows. Very impressed. I seriously love EVGA now. I am so happy I chose them for my GPU needs. I just wish I knew how good Evga was before buying my Asus motherboard last month! I thought Evga only did PSU's! So I bought an Asus mobo and an Asus 1070 which I returned because it was defective. Oh well, now I know for the future. Seriously, if I wasn't broke right now I would switch out the motherboard for an Evga board in a heartbeat just to support them and know that I have the best support in the business. Next time I do upgrades, Evga all the way for everything! Thanks for reading my review. Have a wonderful day!

Another Great Entry by EVGA
If you know anything about PC hardware, you know that the GeForce GTX 1080 is a beast to begin with. The FTW2 takes it a step further with its new iCX cooling technology, and a who-needs-this amount of temp sensors. Demolishes anything 1080p you can throw at it, and holds up very nicely on most games in 1440p with High-Ultra settings. The only people who might need anything more than this, would be people wanting 1440p 120Hz+ or 4K. If you have a 4K G-Sync panel, though, the low frames might not even be felt too much.I'm using it with a Ryzen 7 1700 (@ 3.8), so if you're on Intel's Skylake platform or newer, you'll be seeing a decent bit more FPS than I am. Mine runs very cool even in my tropical climate, idling at 30C, and topping out almost exactly at 60C very consistently. I have a fairly aggressive fan curve set, but even with a quiet one, temps don't change drastically. The asynchronous fan control is an added bonus, but do note, you have to use EVGA's Precision XOC to utilize this function. I don't really use the async control, but again, it's nice to have. The rated 1860mHz overclock is generous, and with current GPU Boost tech, it'll run at 2000mHz+ on its own in the right conditions. I got it stable up to 2200mHz without touching the voltage slider. I didn't mess with memory clocks, but it's overclocked nicely out of the box. It's definitely overkill for eSports games like CSGO, DOTA, and LoL, but it's nice having the extra power to utilize 120-240Hz panels fully. Games like Far Cry 4, which have weird CPU usage issues, might not even let you hit the 90% usage on the card. Again, though, it's nice having the headroom. The added backplate is nice, but I'd very much like them to use bigger screws, because mine is now out of commission after stripping them trying to install a water block (I thought my 0 pt. precision screwdriver was perfect, but it was too shallow, apparently; the bigger, non-precision 0 pt. was perfect for the second half of non-ruined screws). This is obviously user error, but now that it's happened, fixing it is extremely hard because of the screw size.Pricing at the time of purchase (June 2017) was at or slightly above MSRP. As such, it was a perfect price point for this card. What you're getting is a robustly built, great looking 1080, in spitting distance of FE 1080's price point. As of writing this, however, this card is selling for $900-950+. If you absolutely need something right now, go for it. But, just keep in mind that Volta might be coming soon, and +300 MSRP on a high end component might not be worth it for most people.Overall, this is a solid performer. I've had zero problems with it performing as it should. This is my sixth EVGA card, and they haven't done anything to make me switch. My second and fourth cards, both GTX 660s, had to be RMAd, and between Amazon and EVGA, I was quite satisfied with the service, as it was prompt and nicely handled.TL;DR: Anyone who wants a solid card for high refresh 1080p, good fps 1440p, or capable 4K, this is your card. Especially since it's backed by a great company.
