Excellent Piece of Kit
This is quite a bit bigger than the usual electric steamers and takes up quite a bit more space, it is easy to refill and does not boil dry (it has an automatic anti boil dry function but I've never let it do that) it also has a visible water guage and easy to use timer, it has a separate tray that collects steamed liquids. The steam racks are not that brittle crystal plastic that splits and cracks but more opaque and very durable, they also slot inside one another for easier storage, so when you use it you have to remember to start with the smaller one on the bottom, moving up to the larger one then reverse for storage and that's easy to do. The steam containers are spacious so you can put a lot of vegetables or whatever to be steamed in one, or use as desired. We are delighted with this and use it regularly, it is easy to clean, it is not heavy or cumbersome it cooks rapidly. You do have to make sure you have slotted the tiers in correctly and the lid is on the right way or you get a lot of steam escaping but I wouldn't change this for anything else.

Useful and practical
This is a great size Steamer, all trays go into one another and are numbered 1,2, 3. when not in use put 1,23 inside together but when in use it's the opposite 3, 2,1. Which I thought was genius. These are sturdy, good quality, easy to clean and dishwasher safe. The base is easy to fill with fill holes either end. And a black plastic drip tray. It's simple to use, timer can easily be set without confusion. Heats up Quickly. Seems sturdy and durable, looks good, Silver and black as in picture I love mine use it all the time

Good steamer, but it lacks taste
I bought this after I had to throw away my bamboo steamer, because it had moulded (whyever! I always let it dry completely before I stored it away).I love the set up of this steamer - it's simple and pretty fool-proof.The timer function is great - I can now do things in the meantime whilst my food gets ready, that I wasn't as free to do beforehand. It is so easily cleaned!I don't need the hob anymore.Using boiling water from the kettle, my veg is done within 10 minutes and I can eat (I am vegetarian/vegan)NEGATIVES:No matter which rice I tried, NONE works in the steamer. I tried normal white rice, basmati, sushi rice, jasmine .... I tried more but well, none worked! The steamer only works great when boiling water from the kettle is filled in the base - otherwise it just takes way too long until the water boils. When something steams more than 15 minutes, it starts to taste of plastic. (Especially bad with the rice)Nevertheless, I love it and time will tell how long it survives. And I cook my rice on the hob ...

Cooks perfectly, seals in the steam and is so easy to clean
Why oh why did I not buy one sooner?!?!??!!I bought this based upon the reviews which stated that it keeps the steam well sealed and it does! Apart from the holes in the lid to allow some steam to escape and the small lip at the side of the base where you can refill with water if you need to, the steam stays in the food containers.I used this on Sunday for the roast dinner. As I usually do at least 4 veg as well as roast potatoes, I use a lot of saucepans and washing up is the thing I hate the most after dinner. But after getting this, I could put, basically, up to 6 different veg in it (2 per container) depending upon how many you are feeding. I put the ones needing the longest to cook at the bottom and those requiring less cooking such as broccoli at the top and set it for 40 mins but 35mins were plenty and there was no problem about it boiling dry (I have burnt a few pans in my time, and those with carrots are a nightmare due to the sugar content!).The veg was cooked perfectly, soft enough for everyone but still firm. The broccoli seemed greener than when cooked in water. Thereby obviously retaining more of the nutrients. To me, the carrots tasted better too.And oh wow! Best of all, it was easy to clean at the end of the meal. Rather than 4 or 5 pans I only used 1 and this. Thank you Amazon!!I works perfectly, keeps the steam in where it should be and is very easy to clean.

Easy to use
I was a little put off by some of the negative reviews on this product, but I decided to go ahead. I have only used the steamer once and it was easy to use and easy to clean afterwards. The vegetables tasted great, though they took a little longer to cook than in my old Tefal steamer, but I was using all three tiers. The main bonus was that is was a lot smaller so easier to store, and that it did not leak from the base like my old steamer sometimes did. Overall I am very pleased with my new steamer.A tip - just make sure you are using the baskets (which are labelled 1, 2, 3 in the correct order, otherwise they do not fit properly, and basket 1 and has to be the first basket.
