Easy assembly, sturdy and great quality!

I have wanted a lamp just like this for years! It is perfect!! Arrived two days early completely in-tact. I easily put it together by myself in about 20 minutes. One page instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Definitely a classy upgrade for my apartment. Love that the arms are adjustable side to side, and that you can easily turn the shades to keep the light out of your eyes. One thing is that when I opened it and was counting the parts, I thought they forgot to include the hardware because I couldn’t find it anywhere! Then upon reading the instructions, there were only like 8 pieces of hardware needed, and they were already attached to the lamp pieces. SO SIMPLE. Would recommend. I am hoping it doesn’t quit working in an hour like a few of the reviews have mentioned… fingers crossed :)

I am pleased about everything related to this lamp. Shipping was fast, packaging was secure and this heavy lamp arrived unscathed. There are three parts (not including the shades, bulbs and screw in devices used to hold the bulbs) to the lamp itself. Putting the parts together was a breeze with a few trivial exceptions. First, the base is so securely packaged and attached to the shipping carton that it was difficult to remove. This made me giggle so hard that I had to step away for a bit. Think child safe cap on a 50 pound bottle and you'll understand the giggling.Step 1 is securing the base to the first portion of the lamp. The instructions say to use an Allen wrench but really means a regular wrench (provided) rather than a hex wrench. Easy enough to do once I figured that out!Step 2 involves screwing the top half of the lamp onto the assembled base. Have your drill charged and handy because the pre-drilled hole in the top portion didn't align well with the screw hole in the bottom. This possibility was mentioned in the instructions so it wasn't a surprise.Step 3 covered attaching the shades and bulbs to the lamp.The five arms of the lamps swivel, but don't bend. The shades rotate easily to direct the light wherever you'd like. I particularly liked that the shades have vents in them because they allow some light to be cast upwards even if all the shades are focused downwards.Barring the giggle fit and the whole Allen wrench debacle I'd estimate that it took about 10 minutes to assemble it. It is a big heavy lamp, which is what I was looking for to address a dark corner. It will fit I under an 8 ft ceiling, but mine is higher than that and it's just perfect!

Love this lamp. Easy to put together and looks great in our home. Arrived in a large box with all parts well protected. Bulbs are not standard but easily available at Home Depot. Dimmer feature is awesome.

Just like other reviewers have stated, the part where the leafs connect to the stem via one very small scew doesn't seem like a great idea. Not to mention the screw does not go in straight and it strips very easily. (Tried several times and no luck). Bad design. You're asking a small screw to hold the weight of the leafs ( I am not sure of the correct term so I will call them leafs for now). A larger screw, maybe even a bolt would a better idea, or a threaded top and a ring design....Or any better design. I do like the satin nickel finish. I will try to fix the issue one more time otherwise I may have to return it. It will not be easy to pack this back into the box. I think the overall look is good but not well executed in one area which is sad. Giving it one star for now. Another thing, it would be great if I could buy a different bulb shade that would let me use adapter with Phillips hue led bulbs (which works with Alexa). I hope someone from Artiva is listening and is interested in improving this lamp.
